I can’t believe Dr Brett McKnight missed the most important condition my left was beginning to exhibit and soon my right eye would follow was the narrowing of the duct area where fluid was building up behind the lens where cataract surgery was not the pressing issue but glaucoma. The doctor recommended to me scheduled that treatment in 5 days. Where would I be if I had have not had a second opinion because glaucoma ran in my family?

Dr McKnight is an Ophthalmologist at both McKnight Eye Center in Liberty, MO & Hunkeler Eye Institute in Overland Park, KS. He is a knowledgeable ophthalmologist. Always glad to answer your questions or concerns. I would recommend this doctor to my family and friends!

I have had very bad vision with many complications my whole life. Dr. McKnight aborted my cataract surgery last week because the situation was more complex than hoped. He explained in detail (in layman's terms), why he wanted to consult a retina specialist about all the options available to me and which would be safest rather than risk plowing ahead and making things worse. I've had enough cowboy doctors who would have risked my vision. I would recommend McKnight to friends because he puts the patient first. He carefully explained the issues to me, even called me at home that night in case the sedative had made me forget the details. He carefully answered all my questions and what ifs and referred me to another doctor for a consultation. Thank you, Dr. Brett McKnight!
