List of Timothy John Ryan's Reviews
I like Dr. Ryan. The reason I quit him is his rude nurses. One nurse laughed at my diagnoses and made fun of me right in front of him!! He acts afraid of his nurses, so he let's them be rude and obnoxious. I won't be going back to him and his uneducated nurses!!
My experience with Dr. Ryan these last 3 years has never been anything but positive. I am a retired RN of 42 years so I have tendency to self diagnose and think I know the tests and such that need being done. He has been quite patient with me. He lets me know where I am wrong when needed and respectfully teaches me. But the main reason I am writing this is because I had a life-threatening issue with my lungs. It was on a cold rainy night and he showed up. He placed a chest tube in me like a pro. And then he went out of his way to get me in St Luke's hospital where I went into the OR. I am quite sure that I would not have survived if it wasn't for his care. During my stay there 2 of the Dr's said they new him and they just had all these glowing remarks and that what a very smart Internal Dr. He was. We are very fortunate to have a Dr. of that calliber here in Marshall.
I want to Thank you Dr Ryan for saving my life, for being a Dr and realizing helping your patient with "something" and not just sending them home in "hopes" they don't need hospitalization with Covid. What you did made a huge impact within hours. God Bless you and keep doing what you do. Again I can't thank you enough!
Called 4 times over 2 weeks and wasn’t called back until I left negative feedback.
Left 4 msgs over two weeks time. Wasn’t called back until I posted negative feedback.
Others' negative experience was definetly not my experience. He was knowledgeable about my condition(s), poured over my records, and ordered my overdue tests immediately. I like his "bedside manner", clear, concise, yet kind. I'm pleased.
Makes you feel comfortable, not your typical doctor type, funny, friendly, but knows his stuff! Appointments are generally available within a reasonable time frame, Staff is great too! Highly recommend!
We bumped heads at very start, but once he realized, I only came when definitely needed, and I did my homework to ask intelligent questions! We became friends too!! As much as its proper for a doctor, and patient! Now my visits with him tho often painful at the time, help me physically, and answer my concerns, lift my spirits! He s friendly , concerned, compassionate, and firm! And I would never ever consider going to anyone else! He makes me laugh and he s one doctor that I actually enjoy seeing as a person! Plus he has great attention to details! Remembers your history! And wants to heal your body and make your life whole again! Most doctors are like robots now days! This professional is the real deal, so is his wonderful! On top of it staff Ames a great team together! Been seeing him for over 12 years! He keeps updated on medicine and will willing share to relieve your worries and fears! He s very intelligent! But very human also! I appreciate him greatly! Staff also is excellent! Caring and professional also! This is a rare doctor, who won't give up till he helps you! And cares about each of his patients! To me that's a true excellent, doctor! And I m glad I found him !
GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - GREAT DOCTOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 hour and 10 minute wait for a 4 minute appointment. He is always at least an hour behind on his appointments and then he spends less than 5 minutes with you. He is not knowledgeable of your medical records, conditions, etc. His personal policies have you coming in the most often, which costs the most money and wastes the most time. The office has a policy that if any pre-existing condition or prescription is discussed at your appointment if cannot be coded as preventative care. I will be switching doctors before my next visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
