List of Brian James Duff's Reviews
Absolutely do not recommend. If you want someone who practices evidence based medicine, informed consent and actually cares for patients- he is not for you.
Office has gone down hill big time. My mother and father went there for years but as soon as my dad passed away, Dr. Duff stopped caring about my mother completely. His nurse couldn’t even step out into the waiting room where my mother was waiting for her X-ray results. She called her on the phone and when my mother couldn’t hear her properly, she still couldn’t meet with her in the same building. Dr. Duff also gave them trouble giving them FMLA paperwork so my sister could accompany my mother to visits in St. Louis. When he finally filled it out, he did it wrong. I would not recommend him whatsoever. If you have elderly parents- stay away from this place.
Not a caring doctor. Just keep looking. This one isn’t even worth your time of 1 visit. Rude, know it all and uncaring.
My daughter has seen Dr Duff from birth (almost 5 years now). He's very kind and gentle. He's great at explaining things when we have a million questions! We really love him and would highly recommend him as a primary care doctor
We had to change physicians since ours retired and one initial visit he was nice and said he would continue our current plans we had. On f/u visit, he wanted to change everything, despite trying to tell him all the years me and the other Dr's worked very hard to get me where I am. He refused to listen and said I was making excuses, he never read my chart to see what we had done already (everything he wanted to do again). He became very angry, said everything was my fault, then I never received any paperwork. I looked my appt up on the portal and he charted he did a full assessment on me, and he never got within 3 feet of me. Then he wrote on my chart I was hesitant to his advice, which also was untrue. I am always compliant w/ what the Dr's tell me to do. Wish I could get a new Dr, but Cox insurance/facilities won't let you switch like that. Use someone else!
Dr. Duff is always prompt and never seems to be in a hurry. He listens to me and appears to be very knowledgeable. I would definitely refer anyone to him.
I've been seeing Dr. Duff for a couple years now. I dont agree with any of the negative reviews. Yes, he is a human being with emotions but, he has always treated me with respect and is very compassionate. Ive already recommended him to my family members that should tell you alot.
I have known and seen Dr. Duff for several years. He was nice and helpful at first then time went on you get to really know your doctor. He would be irritable some days and talk over you and just wouldn't listen. He has interns with him alot. I cannot recommend him and have since switched doctors.
He takes time and actually listens. He came up with multiple treatment options, gave me pros and cons to each and let me have a say with what I was comfortable with. The office staff is another story but he is great!
must have caught Dr. Duff on a bad day, or he was more interested in the cute intern with him.I dont know!! I did get my blood drawn and all came back good, but I made the appointment because I had some concerns. My elbow has pain, I cant lift a gallon of milk out of fridge, Tried to get him to look, he said he will check for bone cancer in blood work. (thanks) but didnt look at it. I said I have a wart I cant get rid of on my finger. Again didnt look, just told me to wrap it with scotch tape, I did for 2 weeks, didnt help(thanks) told him i have a urinary problem, he said drink more water. again (thanks) so this morning I am looking for another place to go. I made the appointment for a physical, blood drawn , and told the lady making the appointment I had a couple issues for him to look at.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
