He and my husband got along well enough, but Dr. Beckerdite up and left his practice in O’Fallon without notice (no letter or email warning to us). Then when my husband tried to contact him to go to the new practice, he was told that they’re not taking PREVIOUS patients and that they can’t help him, so he was basically abandoned. He’s still in need of his medical records so he can find someone new.

I have been going to the Family Practice Physicians Office on Highway K for 20 years now.. since I was a child. When Dr. Thomas Sommers was there and when he left Dr. Matthew Beckerdite took me on as a patient. Well now Dr. Beckerdite has left and now I have been told I am considered a new patient and that they are not accepting new patients... so what they have no Doctors in the office that can take me on as a patient? Someone that has been a patient there for 20 years! I now have to find a new place to go!? Unbelievable! So today when I called to be able to get drops called out for my eye something simple... I’m told oh you will have to go to emergency room or urgent care... oh um no thank you... that will cost a ton of money... how hard is it for another doctor to call a simple drop out for a patient that has been going to same office for 20 YEARS!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable. I do not recommend going to this place! I didn’t even care for Dr. Sommers when I was a kids he asked me if I had annal sex which I thought was extremely inappropriate!!!! And I didn’t care for Dr. Beckerdite either he pretty much called me fat during a time when I wasn’t and he shouldn’t do that when he is no skinny doctor! And it also seems like this office goes through a lot of Doctors. Because Dr. Orlando also left. And I liked her. Not a loyal office to their patients! Rude!

He was the best doctor that I ever had. He could diagnose things without even knowing me hardly. I had to move away and lose him and it hurt me tremendously. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor

I am so sad that Dr. Beckerdite left the practice. He was our family doctor for over 8 years. We felt that he truly cared about us and would do anything for us. I will keep searching to see where he is at. I would love to have him be our doctor again.
