List of Rebecca Ann Winchester's Reviews
I never actually even made it in to see Dr. Winchester. I scheduled 2 months out for my first appointment. She canceled due to snow 1/30, I get that. When I finally got a hold of someone to reschedule, they said it would be over another month while I sit here in pain. I mentioned I may need to find a different primary and the response from the incredibly rude nameless (she didn’t introduce herself I’m guessing for this reason) woman told me “ok good luck with that!”. Good luck getting and keeping patients. I am so disappointed in the customer service. Dr. Winchester should be embarrassed.

Dr. Winchester and NP Rachel have both been so very helpful with my medical issues. They are both very attentive, caring, and we have great conversations during my visits. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a responsive doctors office this is not the one. Dr. Winchester is kind and it’s sad I have to leave a bad review, but the office lacks care for response and follow up. I had to fight to get care in a reasonable time. The app is pushed, but then I’m told if I need a quicker appointment I should call. I expressed concern for care I needed and was told to come in and meet with the NP. The NP was awkward, not friendly and unhelpful. No one told me the doctor is not in on a Friday and I should have been set up an appointment with her. I was told there would be a follow up on a following Monday and by 3:30pm I had heard from no one and had to call again to get assistance and a follow up. I’m not sure if they just don’t care or if they just are overworked. I do not recommend this office if you are looking for long term relationship and care from a doctor with good follow up and care.
I called their office a couple of day before my appointment to let them know I was scheduled for the vaccine at 11:30 and just in case I was running late or couldn’t make I wanted to communicate with them. I called yesterday to leave a message to see if I can reschedule my appointment and no one got back to me. I followed up today about 2 hours before my appointment to see if I can reschedule but again I had to leave a message. I still didn’t get communication. I called AGAIN and finally spoke with Dr. Winchester’s nurse and she said that there was no room to reschedule me till a month out. I wasn’t happy but it was fine. I requested that they keep my appointment on the schedule for today Incase I can make it. The nurse had no problem with that. The nurse called me back about 10 minutes later to ask if I wanted to just cancel today because “I’d still have to wait 15-30 mins after the vaccine”. I told her I wasn’t told I had to wait but yes. Cancel. She said okay. THE DOCTOR then called me to say that she will no longer see me as a patient because I did not give them 24 hours notice and that is their policy. I understand. HOWEVER not once did ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THEIR POLICY. Not once did they sent information to me in regards to their policy. As a new patient and new to the area.. how am I suppose to know the policy if no one told me. She the. ARGUED with me and was very rude an disrespect. Told me I am not allowed to come to her office. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They are horrible at communicating and very argumentative. Horrible horrible horrible. Feel free to ask me to send you the recording of the doctor. Every time I talked she put me on mute.. so rude.
I've been a patient for quite a while and absolutely love going there. DR. Winchester always listens and it's easy to communicate, especially via mymercy, if you have questions or issues. She has addressed any concerns I've had with my health and given referrals to great specialists if required.
In my experience…Terrible doctor. Does not understand the mechanism of my disease. In my opinion she does not care or have compassion for her patients. Has cost me a life changing consequence. In my opinion she made untrue statements in my medical records to cover for her incompetent care.
First impression was terrible. She seemed pissed off and her personality didn't mesh with mine. She made me feel uncomfortable. I doubt I'll go back to her.
After decades of amazing care from the previous doctors at Mercy Winghaven location, Dr. Winchester, as a primary care doctor, along with the admin staff member I talked to, refused to help (at all) with a patient (me) suspected of corona virus -- symptomatic. Testing was refused, help with testing was refused, advice for testing was refused, help with finding a doctor to see me was refused. I was treated like leper from biblical days, thrown out into the street to find my own way to Jesus for healing. It was awful. It should be an embarrassment to anyone in the practice of medicine, let alone the whole Mercy system whose mantra is the opposite of this treatment of humanity. No thanks to them, I have lived to write this review 6 weeks later. Needless to say, she was fired as my primary care doctor, which was a title she never earned anyway, being handed a great practice from a great doctor, which she has now destroyed.
Dr. Winchester is an excellent doctor. Very compassionate and listens to my concerns. She allows me to be a part of my care, and is not a dictator.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
