Yes, it's difficult to get an appointment or speak to a human. This is not the Doctor's problem, this is how BJC decides to staff his office. It is easy to communicate with him via the 'MyChart' app - he typically responds to any request by the end of the day. Best doctor I've ever had - he's been my primary physician for well over a decade. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. McIntosh for years. He is a fabulous doctor who takes the time to listen to your concerns and works with you to develop a course of action. Since he takes time and doesn't rush you through, you may have a little longer wait time. In defense of complaints about next openings being 3 months away, he is a very popular doctor because of his bedside manner and knowledge. However, if I have a major health concern, he or his staff get back to me within 24 hours when messaging through mychart.

Dr. McIntosh really seems to care about his patient's health and wellbeing. I feel he takes the time to really listen to me and he is always very good about explaining why I should do or not do this or that. He is an OD so I think he goes the extra mile to not throw a bottle of pills at you and send you on your way. I might also add that his support staff, at least currently, seem professional and attentive.

Genuinely seems to care. Listens. Compassionate. Connects with patients. Dr. McIntosh has great knowledge, problem solving skills, and ability to design a plan of attack (tests to order) to determine root cause of ailment. Dr. McIntosh is awesome.
