My father got covid and Dr. Koo’s treatment was to “wait it out.” Now after talking to various coworkers, friends, and family members who contracted covid, their doctors chose to treat it aggressively. Perhaps my father would have had a different outcome and still be alive today if Dr. Koo would have done the same.

Do not reommend Dr Koo or her staff.. Extremely unorganized and unorofessional.. This practice only cares about collecting a co- pay and not the actual health of their patients.. After having yet another negative experience I checked "My chart" and the situation was fabricated to protect Dr Koos employee. I have talked to several others that also have had negative experiences with her and her practice.
I've had problems w this group before but Dr Koo has been excellent so far. She took the time to do a through history. I never feel rushed. She has tried different meds to see what works best. She's been patient and kind. The NP, Jen Shallert, has been good too. I'm happy so far.Update: I still like Dr Koo but I've had major issues getting the office to order my meds. I've been trying for five months now but they still haven't done it. (These are meds that they've prescribed.) I've been unable to drive bc of a concussion and dizziness so, a few months ago (early Jan then every couple of weeks after that), I asked them to call in my prescriptions to my mail order pharmacist. Each time, they said they would. They told me not to drive . I told them I had no way to get my meds at the local pharmacy so they promised to call into the mail order pharmacy.3 weeks ago, I had to go in to the office bc of high blood pressure so I asked them again. I told them I was out of some meds and almost out of others. I had either 0 or almost 0 of any of my meds. They again told me not to drive and I told them that I had no way to get my meds from the local pharmacy so they needed to order them via mail order. They promised to call them in immediately. They knew that I'd have to walk back home using a walker and that it would be very difficult & painful (& they wouldn't call Lyft for me - I dont have a smart phone). Not good but ok if the appt was needed. But it was too much trouble for them to call in my BP prescriptions. If they can't bother to do that, why insist that I come in (and have to walk home with my walker)? I'm still in a lot of pain from the walk & have high BP bc of no BP meds.I called today and they still hadn't called my meds in even though they knew that I needed my blood pressure, thyroid, migraine, and asthma meds. If you need them to order meds for you, you need to watch them like a hawk. Do not count on them to do their jobs. But even repeated calling and asking during appointment hasn't worked for me. Not sure what it takes to get them to call in a prescription. If it weren't for the meds, I'd give them five stars but that's a pretty big failing, esp when they know I'm out bc they didn't call them in earlier. If I have a heart attack or stroke, it's 100% on them, yet they don't seem to care at all that I'm at a greatly increased risk bc of their actions.I've also been sleeping 20 hours a day bc of lack of thyroid meds, had problems breathing bc of no asthma meds, and had worse migraines. They don't seem to care at all. I've usually talked to Jen Shallert (and she has repeatedly promised to call the meds into the mail order pharmacy) but I've talked to other ppl too. Not sure what it takes to get them to do this routine care.6/4 - They finally ordered my meds. Major progress and I appreciate it. They sent them to the wrong state. I think I can get it straightened out by working with Caremark. When I talked to someone in Dr Koo's office, they said it was my problem, not theirs.Didn't seem like they cared at all and blamed me for their mistake. I wish I were joking but they kept telling me it was my fault even tho I'd told them repeatedly where the meds needed to go, including when I called in twice earlier this week. They kept repeating the same thing like I was a stupid child.Really bad attitude and 0 desire to do things accurately, take any responsibility, try to help, or fix problems.
I have escalated for over 7 hours for her to approve an ER script for my wife and she has yet to do so. I was told over the phone she is just too busy. When I asked if they can interrupt her because my wife needs the medicine now, they informed me that is not how she works. So… Dr. Koo, you need to learn how to have a sense of urgency and take care of your patients!!! Needless to say, my wife will be switching doctors to a doctor that cares about their patients. You are unbelievable.I had to pay 50 dollars for one day worth of pills because of your inability to respond to urgent messages. I would like for you Dr. Koo to refund me back that money!!!I understand why you have a 2 out of 4 ratings and those that gave you more than a 1 must still be on pain meds and not thinking clearly. If you are considering this doctor as your primary, please look elsewhere for a person that cares!

Dr Koo has been an excellent doctor when she provides the care herself. Unfortunately, she doesn't adequately supervise her NP and the NP will probably provide most of your care. I couldn't drive bc of dizziness. They told me not to. I told them I had no way to pick up my meds from the local pharmacy and asked them to call my mail order pharmacy. But they didn't call my meds in to a mail order pharmacy for 5 months, even though I asked every time I had an appt plus called in regularly. I doubt Dr Koo realized the problem but messages routinely get lost in that office and there seems to be no way to communicate the problem to her. Office refuses to have her call, just says they'll order the meds. During visits, the NP keeps saying she'll order the meds. But no one does. These are for blood pressure, thyroid, migraine, and tourette's. After 5 months of empty promises, in person and phone appts, and me calling the office begging for meds, they finally ordered the meds. But they sent them to an out of state address, not to the local address where I need them. When I called about that, they blamed me, even though I'd been telling them for 5 months where I needed them to be sent. (It made no sense at all for them to send them out of state.) They told me it was my problem, not theirs, that I needed to fix it, and that they wouldn't do anything to try to get it right.

I told them I was out of some meds and almost out of others. She again told me not to drive & promised to call the mail order pharmacy ASAP. They still haven't called the meds in. They don't seem to care either. They can schedule a special appt for my BP but won't bother to call in my BP (or thyroid, asthma, migraine, tourette's) meds. Not sure how to get them to act on this.

Been using Dr Koo and her nurse practitioners for years. Excellent physician.
My husband goes to her. He is on BP meds. She doesn't do any checks on him or how his medication is working. She just refills his script. I don't think this is normal or taking very good care of any patient. I have to see my doc every 3 to 4 months to check my BP and do labs yearly. She should be doing the same. My husband goes to her because she let's him push her around and not follow medical protocol.

She take the time to talk to you listen to medical issues. She is one of the best doctors I've ever had.

Dr. Koo is an Outstanding Dr. And I will continue going to her as Long as Possible
Dr Koo is one of the best, caring doctors I have ever had in all of my 66 years. I would highly recommend her to anyone because she will find out what is wrong with you whatever it takes.
orders lots of unnecessary tests, will not refill prescriptions unless have more tests - horrible experience
