My sister was in the rehabilitation center for 2 weeks. Worse 2 weeks of her life... before you place a loved one in a rehab center, please check the reviews out

My Father-in-law was a recent rehab patient.There seemed to be a severe nursing staff shortage. Those who were present were unfriendly and very slow to respond to his needs.Family was not notified when he fell out of bed and struck his head and cut his arm.Neither he nor his family were given oral discharge instructions.There seemed to be a total lack of communication between the nursing staff and PT/OT department.My father-in-law did say that he liked the PT/OT staff that worked with him. And when we called that department to get information they promptly responded.Because of the poor nursing care he received we would never allow him to be treated there again.

This is my second experience with a Bethesda Rehab facility in my life. I would rather waste away at home than e a patient at another Bethesda facility. I was there for REHAB you would have thought from the care I received they were just there to watch over me and do absolutely nothing to help me in my REHAB so I could go home. I CHECKED MYSELF out .... I could manage myself better at home at y myself.

Let me start of by saying the communication of the social worker, therapists all the way to the nursing managers of the rehab area on the 1st floor is beyond poor. You can leave a thousand messages with NO RETURN CALLS FROM ANY PERSON IN ANY DEPARTMENT OR MANAGEMENT! I sincerely hope that the owners and those responsible for reviewing these reviews actually take initiative to make changes.The rehab rooms are filthy, the paint on the walls are cracked and chipped everywhere. The residents have no means of communication to the outside world as the owner is clearly too cheap to provide phones for the rehab rooms. Now considering the amount the state pays facilities for a med A patient especially one that is low maintenance, you would think they could afford a simple phone for the rooms. My father had no towels, soap or even a trash bag in his filthy trash can which all speaks volumes of their nursing care. I literally went there and had to take care of him as if he were in his own home!Now I could write a book on all of the issues that I have noted during my father’s stay but the sad part is no one will respond to these comments nor implement a thing! This facility puts a bad name to the healthcare industry!Summary: Do Send Your Loved One Here!!!

Yes the CNA's and Aids are there for you with a Smile... BUT THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE BUILDING THE KITCHEN IS THE WORST THEY DON'T CARRY GROUND BEEF IN THE BUILDING SO YOU CAN ONLY GET A TURKEY BURGER THEY ARE ALWAYS RUNNING OUT OF BREAKFAST MEATS SO YOU ONLY GET EGGS AND SOGGY TOAST THE OTHER MEALS ARE LIKE BREAKFAST FOR DINNER OR A COUPLE OF HOT DOGS FOR DINNER OH AND THE BREAKFAST HOT CEREAL IS WELL ITS DRINKABLE LOLTHEY MUST BE STRETCHING ITSO IF MEALS ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU ARE USE DOOR DASH A LOT.....

This facility is a really good place for your love ones. Everyone in the office is very respectful and helpful

Did an Elvis Show there,and Really Enjoyed it ! The Place was Clean and Spotless ! I would love to Perform there again ! I am Frederick Kruse,my Business is Called " Image of Elvis"

I Have been here a few days and everybody and everything here is excellent. Feels like a resort not a rehab place and the food is outstanding so are all of the services And the people I have no complaints 10 stars wouldn't even be enoughForgot to mention the free laundry. .beautifully washed and folded over hangers with name tags.Better than anywhere i have been. CNA ,s are excellent now it is a day later and things are even better. I absolutely love how EVERYONE works so hard and are patient and want to treat every guest with care and dignity. I have even been eating their vegetables which I never do at home. They are all so lovely and nicely appointed in their uniforms. More tomorrow....next day..pain is a major concern here..They don't simply ask on a scale of 1 to 10...instead it is a major part of their service constantly checking on my comfort ...when I missed the pee botle..a CNA came in with a new gown, sheets and a smile at about midnight and I am now warm and comphy. The nurse responds to my request for perscribed medication asap and a cup of ice water...now it's about one a. m. and time to go back to sleep...More in the morning.....It has been a week and the staff could not be more sensitive and supportive and this applies to the entire staff including housekeeping, support, and the professionals...the food continues to amaze me..it is so delicious I have been cleaning my plate every meal. If anything changes I will speak up. But as of now I am very pleased and by the way my health is improving rapidly...wonder why...

Do not place your loved ones in this facility! I would leave no stars if I could. These abusive, dishonest people will take advantage of you and your family. They will lie to you constantly and prevent you from contacting your loved ones. This is absolutely the nightmare that people fear of these kinds of homes. They will go so far as to ignore the County board of health, and hold people against their will just to make a penny. Avoid!!!

My sister-in-law is in Bethesda and I just went to see her there. I was very impressed with the facility, staff and care she is receiving, which was above my expectations (based on reviews I read prior to going there and imagined). It is a very nice place and I would recommend to everyone.I ate lunch with her both days there and the food was good, especially the turkey, carrots and potatoes.I want to especially mention and thank the head nurse, Kristina, who was so nice, friendly, patient, attentive, kind, knowledgeable, helpful and caring! She is was so pleasant and accessible. I was so glad that she was the head nurse and that she made sure my sister-in-law received good care. Lisa, another nurse, was very nice, caring, knowledgeable and helpful to my sister-in-law also. Ray, the van driver was so wonderful too. Also, want to say that Zach, the physical therapist was so pleasant and great to deal with. We thank him for his therapy and for being so nice, easy going and helpful. All of the staff from front desk to the kitchen and cleaning people were good. They all work so hard all the time and are very busy, but they took time and care of everything we asked for, wanted or needed.
