Stephen F. Staten's Online Review Report Card

Over the past few years have found Dr. Staten to always being in a hurry. Doesn’t seem to want to listen to what you have to say. Will probably change physicians.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Staten and his Professional staff. He has been my family practitioner nearly 20 years and he knows my system better than I do. He has never let me or my family down. When my family moved to St. Charles, Mo almost 1 hour away, there was no way I was going to choose another doctor my Heath. We love Dr. Staten and he is part of our life and his staff. 👍🏼😊❤️🧑🏼‍🔬

Dr Staten and his staff are wonderful. I was referred to him about 3years ago when my other Dr retired. All I can say is that I wish I had found Dr Staten and his staff alot sooner.

Dr. Staten and his team always provide attentive and thorough care. Billie Jo is awesome. I definitely recommend Dr. Staten as a primary care physician.

He's been my doctor for 30 years. Started out a wonderful doctor but through the years he's gotten increasingly disrespectful, even laughing at my complaints at one point and brushing them away. An ER doc later diagnosed my condition. I dont know why he has become so unkind and impatient. I switched, finally, to another doctor who actually listens to me.

I noticed an outbreak of herpes on my lip on a Friday morning and promptly took the last of my supply of valacyclovir with the next required dose within 24 hrs. I called the office immediately to request a refill. I was told my request was marked “priority” and shouldn’t be a problem. When no such request made it to my pharmacy hours later, I called the office again at 3pm. I was told that since Dr Staten was not in, I’d have to wait until Monday at the earliest for my refill request and that nothing could be done to help me. My concern is that my herpes outbreak will get much worse while waiting 3 extra days for the med, putting my family at risk for infection also as the sore will be open and festering by then as it always has in the past. My question was this: were there NO other doctors or nurses in the practice ALL DAY that could have authorized the refill on the day I called so that my lower lip did not worsen into a large, painful and infectious wound by Monday?

Dr. Staten has been my primary physician for almost 20 years. Knows all about my family history and mental health past. Loved him for years. Last year when I told him I had started to have more frequent depressive episodes and even vague suicidal thoughts, he told me “maybe try to focus more on the good in your life. You have things pretty good you know”. Fast forward 3 months to me having to be in therapy for having expressed daily suicidal thoughts and a plan to a friend... maybe it wouldn’t have gotten this bad if he had been taken my concerns seriously.

Very friendly staff. Doc is very thorough and doesn't take short cuts. I've seen too many doctors that just want you in and out.

I've been seeing Dr. Staten for about 9 years. He is one of the most understanding and helpful doctors I have seen. He listens to you, takes his time with you and doesn't rush when he is with you. I absolutely love him.

Dr. Staten is an excellent listener, genuinely concerned with your well-being and always looking and suggesting ways to improve upon your current health.
