Progress West Hospital's Online Review Report Card

This is the most racist hospital towards women and POC!!!!! They didn’t take my daughters sickness seriously and basically dismissed her. Dawn the nurse that worked the evening 8/25/23 was extremely racist! It doesn’t matter how good your health insurance is or how well spoken you are if you’re a POC or a woman please don’t come here!!! Eric the acting EMT was dismissive and thought she was “faking her symptoms”….we got in the back and Dawn was very rude and nonchalant especially when I asked questions about what to expect. She was about to walk out the room and turned around as said “oh…. I forgot to listen to you”, meaning her heart. If you ever have Dawn as a nurse ask for someone else please for your safety!!!! The doctor dismissed her as well and at this point I knew I had to take her somewhere else to be treated. Then the nurse that discharged us was very concerned, I believe his name was Eric as well. He said she needs an MRI or EEG so they can find out what’s wrong with her. She was so sick we went to another hospital where she was admitted for what this hospital dismissed. They knew something was very wrong with her. Progress West has a lot of racist nurses and doctors here please err on the side of caution!!!!! The staff is a cautionary tale!

The doctors were great, all staff couldn’t have been nicer. Had to stay for several days and it was a positive experience, I highly recommend this hospital!

ER did great, nurses were great. Once admitted, put in filthy room with wore out bed:-( Had to have an NG tube inserted in ER. Later the Next day the surgeon ordered it removed, ordered liquid diet , moments later, my nurse was informed by the attending physician, that she was to push it down my nose five more centimeters after suffering through that, two minutes later, she was told by the surgeon to take it out, put me on a liquid diet which is what should happen the first time😖 The Three Stooges were more organized! Won’t be back!

I am currently waiting in the ER waiting room 08/14/2023. I came in with extreme back pain that I woke up with! I have sciatica and degenerative disc disease. I can’t move without hollering out in pain. My E visit suggested I come to the ER. I’ve been here since 11am and it’s now 5:45 pm! Almost 7 hours! I’m still in the waiting room. This is absolutely ridiculous! Do better!!! They have people who are getting IV fluids in the waiting room. Patients have left and they still aren’t calling anyone else back.

This hospital is amazing. The care they give is exceptional. The nurses are so caring.

I had a very positive labor/delivery experience in the Progress West maternity ward. The nurses were so kind and attentive to me and my baby. This includes the amazing lactation consultants who were definitely experts- very helpful. My OB Dr. Lindsey was great and so was the staff pediatrician. I don’t think my experience could have gone any better than it did!

I went to the ER on Wednesday 07/10/2023. After waiting about 4 hours, telling them I have a very bad back pain, going down my leg into my foot. They took X-rays, send me back home with meds for osteoarthritis. Since then I can hardly walk, sit or lie down. What upsets me, is that I told them when I got there, that I can't walk ,or sit without tremendous pain. Eventually a lady going around asking patients how they are doing, got me onto a bed, but it was for about 1 hour., before X-ray results came back. How can they let someone sit like that with a back problem. I am highly dissapointed in Progres Hospital

Staff was great. I was seen in a timely manner. They were able to give me a diagnosis pretty quickly.

Don't go to this hospital with a broken bone. I was forced to sit in the waiting room for 6 hrs with a broken leg. No pain meds and a melted ice pack. Sadistic!

Exceptional care. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The food isn't horrible either. They really care about you and even do follow up calls to make sure everything is ok after you leave the hospital. 10/10
