Upper GI & Colonoscopy with immediate diagnosis & recommendations/referral to surgeon!

I was absolutely shocked by Dr. Thompsons arrogance, disrespectful intonation and unwillingness to be helpful with my case. I established care with Mecry GI when I moved to Springfield but transferred to CMH in Bolivar for easier scheduling and friendlier staff. Upon exhausting CMHs resources with my difficult case, they referred me to Mercy as they have a larger facility with more resources. Dr. Thompson almost seemed angry because I did not use him all along and transferred to CMH. He alluded to his opinion that CMH did not provide me with good care and Wes very negative towards the treatments they provided me. It almost seemed as though he indirectly called my CMH doctor an idiot. Horrible experience, very disappointed (as usual) with Mercy.

I've seen Dr. Thompson twice now. Both visits were so much more comfortable then most Dr. visits. I am confident Dr. Thompson considers my condition & gives me the best care available. He strikes me as a "teaching" Dr., my favorite kind. Excellence sums it up & I'll have none other.

I had a CT scan of my liver & it was discovered cancerous tumors on my pancreas. I was sent to Dr Thompson, he sent me to Barnes in St Louis. I had the Whipple procedure surgery with follow up with Dr Thompsom always said I don’t know to any questions we ask.5 years later through another Dr. we learned Dr Thompson should have been giving me vitamins & enzymes that my body could no longer substantiate. I have other serious health issues now.

Dr. Thompson performed a colonoscopy on me Sept 2015. I lost 4 units of blood because he didn't tell me to quit taking Place. His comment to me when I complained was that iwould feel better in a couple of days. It took me three months to build my iron levels back up and to quit feeling exhausted. I missed work and school. He has an over all cavalier attitude and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He is lucky I didn't sue.
