Dr. Vera assessed my child in the hospital after birth. About an hour after birth she asked to assess my baby (I had been doing skin to skin). Prior to this I told the nurses I would be declining the Vit K injection and instead would be using oral vit K drops (show to offer similar efficacy to the injection and no black box warning). After assessing my child she proceeded to my bedside and attempted to deliver anecdotal fear-mongering stories to manipulate me into giving my child the vit k injection. This included telling me about a baby with a brain bleed she had recently transferred. She tried this again prior to discharge. My child also had an 8% weight loss in the first 24hr period - this is considered the high end of “normal”. She pushed formula supplementation on me multiple times. She continued to push formula even after I expressed my desire to breastfeed my baby.

This young lady is very rude. Doesn't give a darn what her patients r going thru or the family of her patients. She doesnt let the parents or families speak, without speaking over them. Yes she answered questions. But rudely interrupted quickly....😩😩😩

My Kids love Dr Vera,They can not be seen for 2 year., and she will remember exactly what she seen them for last. very understanding, and she will check out any possibility that might be making them sick. She explains everything so you can understand it. she is great.

Dr. Vera is always thorough and attentive. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and takes the time to explain your child's health and development. When my two girls were babies, we could not find a hospital with two openings and they were both so sick with the flu she did not want me to take them home without their vitals being monitored. Instead of having to separate them and allow them to be taken to different hospitals, she let me stay in a room with them in her office until she felt comfortable enough for us to go home. I cannot emphasize enough how kind and thoughtful she is.

Dr. Vera is both of my daughters doctor. She has became like one of the family. She remembers details about my family such as all our names and the ages of my daughters. She is very friendly and helpful. :)

I would definitely recommend Dr. Vera to anyone needing a physician for their child. She's is so sweet and caring. Sometimes it takes a little while before being taken back, but that's only because she is ALWAYS so thorough. She makes sure that nothing is overlooked, and I really appreciate that. I never feel like she's trying to rush and that my baby is important to her. :-)
