When diagnosed with multiple myeloma he said u had stage 3l the worst. I asked him how long i had to live and he said we not talk about that were going to make you better. Thru 5 months of treatment and a transplant i did get better and now i am in remission.

He is the best doctor that I know, kind considerate and passionate about patient care.

After a rare auto immune disease attacked me at less than 2 months pregnant. My only hope was my hematologist, Dr.Ali. A doctor who never listened to how I was experiencing my symptoms. After months of dealing with a disease like this, you get to know how it acts up and why. Multiple times i was hospitalized because he would not listen to what I was saying. He made me feel like the only option I had was surgery. A splenectomy to be exact. A 50/50 shot at this curing my rare disease.I was told to wait for my second trimester which would make the surgery a better success. 22 weeks pregnant I was. 21 years old Going under for a major surgery because this doctor told me it would cure me. The day after surgery my surgeon comes in and tells me I had a second rare spleen attached and that nothing seemed wrong with the spleen as being enlarged or anything. But none the less I was one organ short. Or two.. The splenectomy was a quick failure as a short few weeks later I'm back in the hospital with a couple thousand platelets. Still pregnant. Still in horrible pain due to surgery. And no answers. After my daughter was born I was still dealing with the low platelets. Considering how many vaccines, steroids,IVIG treatments and surgery I put my baby through..I decided breast feeding was my only answer. I happily breast fed for 4 months with a month supply in the freezer before doc Ali questions and criticizes me for it. Asks me why on earth I would want to breast feed. I was baffled and didn't know how to answer that. I mean why wouldn't I? My baby deserved the best. He then explains I need to make a cut off date and fast, and that I had to stop making excuses to breast feed her. I felt devastated and sick to my stomach. Forced to stop so I could take a medication that cost over $7500 a month. A medication that caused me to have a lot of pain. It also was a failure and at that point I felt I quit breastfeeding for no reason. While going through trial and error with new medications, every day I felt more and more pain in my body. It was getting to the point that lifting my legs off the couch was excruciatingly painful . My hair was falling out by the handfuls every day. My face was burning red. My skin hurt to touch. Every muscle and joint in my body hurt more than I could ever explain.. with a new born I knew I had to figure out the problem . Any suggestions I had to Dr.Ali were quickly turned down. With his explanations that I'm just having hormones. So I asked for an ANA test to be done that day. His response to me was " Do you like wasting tax payers money?" . I couldn't believe what I had just heard.. a doctor can legally ask me something like this? I immediately teared up and defended myself. Fighting with a doctor in his office about a blood test.. one he believes would waste his and everybody's tax money.. when I asked him if he was denying me one he quickly said he can't legally do that. So after I get my blood test it confirms a high postive. I was then recommended to a rheumatologist which after 4 months confirmed I have Lupus, fibromyalgia, rayndauds, sjogrens syndrome and now I'm dealing with TMJ and multiple other conditions. How sad is the US for allowing doctors to treat patients this way. To force unnecessary procedures so they can make a few extra bucks while driving around in an $80,000 vehicle. This doctor ruined any chance for me ever trusting another medical physician again. Do not ever trust this man with your life. Because he only sees dollar signs in your eyes .

I have been seeing Dr Ali for several years following an extensive pulmonary embolism. I am very pleased with his professionalism and his willingness to explain and answer any questions. I would highly recommend him

Dr. Ali is not only a physician with three medical degrees, he truly cares about his patients. His calm manner with the ability to explain in laymen's terms the diagnosis and the detailed steps of treatment. He takes his time, making sure that the patient and the patient's family are comfortable and on board. He has an amazing sense of humor with a true sense of what the patient is experiencing. He is a gifted physician with a huge heart! Those of us who have been his patients are blessed

Dr. Ali is far and away the best Doctory I have ever encountered in my life. I was diagnosed with Cancer at 28 years old and sent to see him. He is a personable and caring doctor who has a positive attitude, but he is also a straight shooter. Most people who look for the "happiness" answer me be a little taken aback by him, but thats what people need, the truth! He is also like a tough parent which can be crucial to your survival. He beat around NO bush when he told me he was displeased with me for missing a chemotherapy treatment, and to my benefit, I never missed another. You can't talk about him without talking about his staff. They are the best group of young women I have ever been around in my life. Their compassion during the most vulnerable and terrifying time in my life made the journey that much easier. I would NEVER hesitate to go see this man and his staff again. Cream of the crop!

Had two appts with him. Waited well over after each appt scheduled. Office personel loud enough to hear in the hallway each time. Other patients complaining as well. Fight broke out in hallway between staff members. Patient came out of room and told them to stop it. Dr Ali complained about other St Johns Dr's, calling them unprofessional. Wanted me to come back to see him, but when i did, he had no clue as to why i was there. Did NOT read my chart prior to my visit, then wanted to waste my appt time reading it outloud. Told him twice i already knew what it said and no need to read it to me. Refused to answer specific questions i had related to my care. VERY unprofessional, rude and uncaring. Disappointment to St Johns reputation and a step down to their overall performance. I dismissed him as my Dr, then shortly after, received a letter from him, stating he was dismissing me, accusing me of things that were just down right a lie, to save his own skin. Would NOT recommend him to anyone wanting good quality care.

Doctor Ali is Fantastic. My father is in a nursing in Dixon Mo. I live in Salina Kansas. After my Fathers visit with the Doctor Ali, The Doctor called me in kansas to explain step by step what was going on with my Father. He answerd all my questions even though it was quiting time at his office.I Doctor who cares Wow!!!

Excellent doctor, very professional with superb bedside manners. will recommend to every body and any body who is need to see a hematologist or an oncologist
