She is dangerously incompetent. I told her I couldn't breath, she told me it was anxiety and there's was nothing she could do until I saw a psychiatrist about it, because she couldn't hear anything wrong with my lungs. Turns out I had pneumonia. Once my records were requested by my new doctor and uploaded into my chart, I could see X-ray reports saying I had pneumonia, and another staying the pneumonia was getting worse. The second time saying it was worse was when I got the psych referral. By they way doc, I actually had inflammatory arthritis, but you were to busy ignoring my symptoms to catch it. This is not the doctor to go to if your health means anything to you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fingerhood for approximately 15 years. She is very thorough in her questions, professional in her communication and suggests specialists when appropriate. One thing I have learned to appreciate about Dr. Fingerhood is that she will only prescribe an antibiotic if she sees you in person and is confident that is what you need. Too many other doctors are quick to prescribe them when a patient requests one and that causes antibiotic resistance which harms all of us.

Doctor Fingerhood is very caring and spends a lot of time with her patients. Her practice is a small operation and you have to have different expectations than from a larger one.

I had been a patient of hers for nearly 10 years. Early this year I went through some mental health issues and was unable to work and was unable to pay a balance due with her office of less than $150. Due to not paying this balance she refused to fill my prescriptions for high blood pressure, dietbetes and anxiety which effected my immune system and I ended up in the hospital ICU with severe double pneumonia for a week. After getting released with the hospital I was told to follow up with my primary but she is still refusing to see me until the $142 dollars owed is paid in full. Dr. Fingerhood has no concern for her patients and doesn't care about their health. All she cares about is money and could care less about the well being of her patients. I thought doctors were supposed to live up to a certain standard of care....

Dr. Fingerhood is good for the basic care. If you have a condition that requires her to learn about and listen to you - the patient - in order to understand then she's not the one.

While she can be thorough and run tests.. she does NOT listen. I don't know how many times she's asked me a question and cut me off while trying to answer her. She argued with me over symptoms of a nerve disease diagnosed by another Dr. and was closed minded and disrespectful towards me and what I am going through. She hears hooves and only sees horses. If you are a zebra she is not the Dr. for you. She waited 2 weeks to call me about a test result and I was told I needed another test ASAP. Her assistant didnt relay important information about my nerve disease to the Dr. and Dr. Fingerhood treated me terribly over the symptoms. I currently have to carry a letter explaining it for the Covid 19 temp checks so I do not get denied access to Physical Therapy. Read your patient notes carefully on her patient portal, she does not listen and it shows by the incorrect information she writes down.

I left her appointments very unhappy and feeling ...

Dr. Fingerhood is good if you need routine appointments. She's good if you don't need anything more than the basic care. She does take her time with you, she seems thorough during that time BUT...she doesn't listen or try to understand an issue if it's foreign to her. I was diagnosed with a chronic condition by another Dr. and have specialists lined up caring for that condition. However, a PCP should take the time to UNDERSTAND all aspects of care. I went from being a horse to a zebra. When you have to fight to be heard and understood in regards to a new condition that the DR. hasn't heard about....it's time for a NEW PCP. She is great for BASIC care and I appreciate all the time she took to try to understand 1 aspect of care but stopped being the right Dr. for the job. When other Doctors/Specialists agree it's time to switch PCP and she isn't effective it's confirmation of her ability to provide the best care possible..or in this case, inability.

Rather than taking the time to understand they body temp regulation I experience with this Chronic disease I was told to THROW away my thermometer. I had to FIGHT to be heard on this. She wrote in her notes I was on a medication for depression but it wasn't prescribed for that and I told her it wasn't. I met with a new PCP today and even though my Specialist said there aren't PCP that know about my Chronic disease...this one DID and has had patients with it. It was a breath of fresh air and it was confirmation that switching was the right decision. The NEW PCP understood that I wasn't on a particular med for depression but for nerve pain. Basic care she is good for..complex, no.
