Too many patients or the doctors to treat in good time. Long waits mean disgruntled patients and drivers and doctors frantically flying from room to room. It makes it feel as if you are a number rather than a valued patient. However, the surgical care and follow-up were excellent. It’s the offices (I’ve been to 2 several times} need an overhaul in time management to provide more personal care

Dr Smith was good but his staff leaves something to be desired. The receptionist was extremely rude & unprofessional. Complaining about having to be there. Discussing patients in front of the waiting room people. Back staff were kind but broke so many HIPAA laws I stopped counting. I’m a RN/QI/HIPAA Compliance Officer. Dr. Bradley Smith performed eye surgery on me to correct a macular pucker. I was very impressed by how smoothly and skillfully the procedure was performed and at the high level of information, empathy, and attention given to me by Dr. Smith and the entire medical team. I was definitely less nervous prior to the procedure because of this high level of care. My recovery was 100% complication free and 100%pain free. I consider myself very fortunate to have had Dr. Smith perform my surgery.

I am having injections in my eyes for Macula Edema. I just want anyone to know that if they need this type of treatment there is nothing to be afraid of. This is practically a pain free treatment. I would rank these injections on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being most painful. These injections are at most a 1 to 1.5 with regards to any discomfort. It is quick and almost pain free. Just listen to Dr. Smith and his staff with regard to instructions. I hope this review will help any future patients with regard to any anxiety they may be experiencing.

Dr Smith is by far THE BEST in the business. He is very personable, he takes his time and answers ALL your questions, so if you have to wait a little longer than you want just remember he is the BEST, and he does treat all his patients with respect. I would and have recommended him to friends and family members.

Dr Smith and the entire staff at the Retina Institute see many patients on a given day. That can result in a hurried and seemingly not complete investigation of the reason for the visit. I have had two appointments with Dr. Smith and crew and can state unequivocally that they, as a group, take their time, do not hurry the patient, do all the tests and investigations that seem to be required and absolutely instill confidence in the patient that what the Institute has done is correct.
