Craig Buchman's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Buckman successfully restored the 100% loss of hearing in my right ear with an Exostoses ("surfer's ear") procedure. I am grateful to be able to hear through that ear again. Thank's Doc!

Dr. Buchman told me he could perform a stapedectomy procedure that might restore hearing in the ear which I have no hearing for some unknown reason that has nothing do with aging. He did not guarantee that it would be effective. I took a chance. It did not work, but I was not upset that it did not work, but that I lost my sense of taste on that side. I read afterward that it can happen in some cases, but most times come back in a year or so. The issue is he did not share this with me, so I sacrificed one sense for the other and now have neither. And when I mentioned it he was very callous in his reply "that it may never come back". I would never recommend this guy to anyone!!

Dr. Buchman performed the surgery for my first cochlear implant and will soon be doing the second. Personally, I do not place much weight on bedside manner when it comes to a surgeon. Look for the best in the field. Dr. B is the best. I also find him to be funny when it is appropriate and one who gets right to the bottom line when it is necessary. He is friendly and willing to listen to concerns. I'll say it again, he is the best!

My husband seen Dr. Buchman due to chronic ear infections. He had his hearing test then on to his appointment with the doctor. The doctor looked in his ear and said you have more than a hole in your eardrum, you have a dibit. You will need surgery to correct this, lets do a catscan so I can see it better. A week later my husband returns to do the catscan and visits with the doctor afterwards. Dr. Buchman said the ear looks fine and theres nothing further he can do for him. My husband explained but what about all the pain, the chronic ear infections and my face swells. I can't stand to hear my baby cry, it hurts really bad. I'm sorry there s nothing further I can do for you. You can come back in 3 months so I can clean it. I would not recommend this doctor. He seems arrogant and lazy.

Dr.Buchman seemed to be very quick and felt as though he didn’t hear all of my concerns. The lady that did the hearing test said one thing and he said something different. I was referred their by another dr from his practice for him to do a procedure . Dr. Buchman seemed annoyed he had to see me that day and didn’t explain anything. I left extremely confused and frustrated. I also didn’t get the procedure because he said I didn’t need it. I drove several hours for the appt. I am not sure if I would see him again.

Bachman is a terrible doctor. Once he does his surgery on you, he refuses to see you for follow on observation. His schedules are told to push scheduling of his appointments to his medical assistant who calls you back. I had blood coming out of my ear and went to the Er. I still cannot get an appointment to see him. Unacceptable behavior from the medical community.

My son is a former patient we live Raliegh north carolina . My son name is Nyheem Bryan we lost a great doctor but you hosiptal has gained a fabulous caring and outstanding doctor he cares he take the time to talk to you about what's gonna go on. He has patience and compassion his care and profession has bought him a long way and may he continued to do the greatest job We truly like to thank you Dr Buckman for your care service and time and may the new staff enjoy a great Dr TONYA CAMPBE

Dr. Buchman is simply the best! He was a tremendous help to my daughter and always so kind. I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Best doctor in his field. My particular problem is Meineres Disease and he took a woman 12 years ago that had no idea what was happening to me, had been told by local doctor I had a brain tumor, looked at MRI asked me some questions and said this is not a tumor, this is Menieres. He operated put a shunt in said it would probably last 3 years and have to be redone and that was fine. He gave me my life back! Lasted 12 years. It's back but I'm not that scared woman this time thanks to him!!!!

I had the good fortune of have Dr. Buchman team up with Dr. Ewend for my brain surgery. I had a large brain tumor that was close to the base of my skull, which Dr. Buchman got to with no issues. Dr Buchman is very warm, friendly and funny but more importantly, he is a great doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
