List of David T. Hammond Ii's Reviews
This is the worse Dr office I have ever been to. Starting with the office staff they are extremely rude, the Dr and his assistant do not listen to your concerns and just want to load you up on every medication out there. They cant diagnose and want to send you out to a specialist for everything. I would stay far away from this place.
I used to see Dr. Todd Hammond for years. And during that time suffered with migraines and was always told it was sinusitis and allergies. After seeing a SLU doctor, I learned I had A-typical migraines. I feel that I was left to suffer and deal with excruciating migraines when it seem relatively easy to diagnose what I was dealing with. After being prescribed the correct medication I can function again when the migraines strike. Dr. Hammond always made the visit feel rushed and he didn't truly listen to what I said. I don't really know why I didn't switch to a different doctor sooner. It was life changing. The other doctors in this office talked to you like they are reading from a script. The only decent doctor that I am aware of at this location was Dr. Catherine Remus on the pediatric side and she retired some time ago.
Place is a joke
No complaints, great service all around always. Great doctor, very nice.
I would give zero stars if I could. I am so disappointed in Dr. Hammond and his office. I called his office trying to get a covid test and he pointed me in the direction of urgent care. Very disappointed especially during a time of a pandemic. Will definitely not be returning to his office.
I have to give 1 star in order to write this review. Dr. Hammond cost me years with my father watching his health go downhill. We begged as a family to treat him. He refused to listen to any of us and was very rude in all aspects. We saw a psychiatrist after my dad fell for the 3rd time and he was diagnosed with dementia in 15 minutes. My father had shown all the symptoms of dementia for years, and we had expressed that to absolutely no concern. His refusal to listen and his own arrogance cost my father years.
I gave his office a 3 only because I understand that there is a distinction between the way they operated b4 the pandemic and after. The people who work in this office need to get out of the medical field and maybe go into teaching where they can work from home and away from sick people. Specifically here's my problem. I havent seen my doctor in over a year. I called 2 months ago to make an appointment. Was set up 2 months into the future. Appointment time comes and they cancel my appointment. Reason - I am quarantining because of Covid contact. Even though I was tested by CVS after the contact and tested negative. So that was a 2 month wait for a doctors appointment down the drain. Now my pharmacy calls me and tells me my prescription has run out. When I call Dr Hammonds office they say they cant renew prescription until doctor sees me. You guessed it - 2 month wait for next available appointment. Please understand I only saw Dr Hammond once. Not enough contact to formulate a negative opinion about him. I found this office staff and nurse to be very rude. As an additional thought I was helped out by the Office Manager Karen, who was very empathetic and caring and got me aligned to receive services. Thanks Karen.
I do agree with the most of the reviews. Dr. Hammond has a tendency to be short and more focused on his laptop, tracking his time vs. the patient. You could see why his manors are off-putting for many folks. I debated putting a review up because he is not a mean person. He just really adds no value as a doctor. You end up seeing him, then being referred to a specialist and then getting the advice you need. So, you end up feeling like you just saw someone who doesn't really care about your health and wasted your time. I am sure Dr. Hammond doesn't feel that way in his heart and probably is a victim of the system more than his intentions. But, in the end he runs a practice and I could not recommend someone that I care about to him as their general physician.
If I could give negative stars I would. My grandfather asked Dr. Hammond questions that any normal doctor would answer, but I assume Hammond had other things to do rather than pay attention and help his patients. Without doing a complete check up like he should have, Hammond left my grandpa in the patient room and told him that he will not answer any questions about his past surgery, different procedures he’s had done, and his insurance. Quote : “I’m not talking to you about any doctors or any insurance” Then Hammond stormed out of the room without checking my grandfathers feet which is part of the check up. It seems like this doctor is more interested in trying to send his patients to specialists rather than do the work himself. Horrible service, I have no idea how he has a license.
Had to switch primary care physicians and went to Dr. Hammond. He was very attentive and had read through all the information sent by last physician. I am very pleased with his office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
