I called to make an appointment. I was transferred and reached a voicemail. I left my message and no one called me back. That was over two weeks ago. I gave up on them after a couple of days and found a new primary physician.
Ended our patient doctor relationship, because my husband told his staff what he thought of him over the telephone. I said absolutely nothing. - I have been a patient there for a decade. His patients are evidently disposable. Find an ambitious doctor the exudes a healthy lifestyle. Unlike this doctor.
Lied about the phones being off .Had a terrible attitude !!!I don’t recommend this place. Totally unprofessional Below the one star. Low lives.
He is not a good doctor. I had been going there for over a year before I met him and that was only because I asked if I could. His physicals are a joke. He only takes your blood pressure, and listens to your heart and does a pathetic check of your lymph nodes. I cant even recall the last time they took my temperature. Thank God I am a healthy person. If I had serious medicals issues I believe that I would have died under his care. Needless to say I have changed my primary care doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I was lied to about what time the Phones come on. The old lady who worked at the front desk was very short and disrespectful. I had been calling for at least 45 minutes no answer. Finally at 8:12 the office called me . I informed them that I was on Watson and about 2 minutes away and Son had been in accident. I asked the nasty acting receptionist should I sign in she said no have seat over there somewhere I a waiting on him which was white Gentleman now. Then old Blonde woman talked to her co worker who had black hair with glasses on. She ( black hair) began to tell me my coworker said you were 20 minutes late and we just want have time to see you today. I asked why didnt you tell me that over the phone. Why didnt you turn the phones on knowing that you had new patients coming in. You left a voice mail stating you will be open and in place at 7:30am . I called and I an voice mail stating that you were closed. Im an African Male with a good paying job and I pay for great insurance and these racist piece of work arent even worth this Yelp review. Not the place to go if you have any health issues
I'm not a patient here, but maybe I should be. I dropped my wallet with my car key in a nearby gutter and one of their employees found it and contacted me to return it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
dont you hate thinking you found a new doctor your first visit you actually get to see the doctor youve been assigned to then after that youre always seeing one of his assistants you never see that doctor again! It really makes you wonder if they have knowledge in that medical field as they pass you down to somebody else , that your first visit is just to show his minimal medical knowledge, if you dont know the answers to the medical questions refer your patient to someone with some experience that can maybe answer their questions
I have been going to Dr. Compton's for over 20 years and I am extremely happy with the level of service that i have been given over the past 20 years.
I have been a patient of Dr. Compton's for 3.5 years and have found the doctor and all his staff to be excellent, professionally and personally. Very kind and caring people and have never had one complaint. I highly recommend this physician and his staff.
He saved my Dads life! Dad went to St Anthonys with chest pain. They consulted a GI specialist & added protonix. Sent him home. Dad still had chest pains so we called Compton again. Dr Compton was pissed. He called st As, complained, then sent Dad straight back to the hospital. Next day dad had a quadruple bypass. Dr Compton saved my Dads life! Ill never forget this.
I have been a patient of Dr. comptons for almost 10 years now and every single appointment is a struggle. I call in a few days ahead to have them write a script and i was told i couldnt have my meds until monday(it was that thursday when i spoke to the lady) because he went on vacation.....So i had no medication for almost 5 days. Then because that happens it throws off my 3 month appointment date with my actual script date causing me to not have meds again for another 3 days. The staff is constantly complaining about having to work and do their jobs...... which i find hilarious. The worst part of every single visit is when they come out to bring you to the individual rooms they legit let me sit there waiting in the room for atleast 3060 minutes as if i didnt have a full time job to get back to. Half the time i dont even get to see Dr. Compton because he is always out. Then they tell me Oh well he is out so the other doctor will have to see you. No consistency and Im officially on the hunt for another doctor.
No longer takes true interest in patient needs or true medical problems. The Office Manager is the worst talks to me like Im a child, does not follow up with patient about test results with problems. She will NOT let me talk to Dr. Compton about any thing. I have been going there for too many years for this kind of abuse from the Office Manager or Doctor, all of the other staff is very courteous and helpful.
Very caring, compassionate. He takes his time making sure the patient is well cared for.
The Dr. James Compton is a very good, Careing, smart Doctor. but the office help are clueless and will lie to you. Plan on waiting at least an hour past your appointment time to be seen. The office help do not care one bit about your health condition ,all they care about is putting in their 8 hour day and going home. It was sad to change doctors, he was kind and caring. But due to the bad office help, long waiting to be seen. I had to change clinics.
Last three office visits it took over an hour after the scheduled appointment time before we were seen. Dont schedule for appointments you cant keep
Not easy to get in to be seen at all. Had a bad cough and general illness and couldnt be seen for a week. Seems to have more patients than can appropriately handle.
Ive been a paitient of Dr. Comptons for around 20 years. He has always been an outstanding healthcare partner. Always listens, and never pushes treatment. He offers sound medical advice and has been extremely reassuring in some scary times. There have been a few times where I have questioned his diagnoses, but every time he hit the nail on the head. Wonderful General Practicioner and nice guy.
i switched to dr.compton after several dr.s had there chance with me.i was in a bad accident and needed guidance and pain relief,he didnt give me any pain meds,because pain management was involved.the guidance and peace of mind knowing i had a doctor that gave me all the time i needed to explain was great.i would recommend him to anyone.to the person who said he was rude,he does have a pilot license,you should go up with him and jump.
My husband & I have been patients of Dr. Compton for over 20 years and now our grown children are also. He is extremely knowledgable, listens when you talk to him, never pushes you on the time and has Carol who is his fabulous nurse.
Ive been a patient of Dr. Comptons for about three years. He has never been rude, the office staff go out of their way to take care of me, and the wait time at the office is amazingly short!
