To be honest, I was not happy with my experience there. Not recommended. The clinic doesn't belong to SSM hospital. The receptionist is rude and inefficient. Many areas need to be improved.
Dr. Fan is an outstanding physician! He has wonderful bedside manner, he is humorous and keeps you smiling, and he is extremely sharp and knowledgeable! I am very pleased with my PCP! His staff is wonderful and friendly, something you don't see often; especially in St. Louis! If you are looking for a good doctor, who really cares, choose Dr. Fan!
Dr Fan is a little different but after 3 years I find he is doing me pretty good. He puts a lot of emphasis on the science aspect of bloodwork and these are the facts. Communication sometimes takes patience but overall he is a good doc.
Dr. Fan is one of the best doctors Ive ever been to. He treated me for stomach and colon issues. He really listened to my problems and provided a real solution. With him, I was able to get off most of the medications that others put me on. If you want a doctor who will be a real doctor to you, listen and provide you with appropriate medical treatment, I highly recommend him. If you want someone who will let you doctor yourself and just prescribe whatever you want, then go somewhere else.
Worse Doctor in my 72 years. His neglience almost caused my life. I was severely anemic, low iron needing infusions, low vitamin b12 and d3. He told me I didn't need prednisone for Polymyaglia Rheumatica but just take probiotics. They were his cure for everything. He was very friendly showing interest but just didn't deal with my real issues. Always promoted probiotics for everything. I left just in time and very Ill. I should have reported his negligence but so glad to get proper treatment, I let it slide.
Dr. Fan told my 85 year old to stop taking multivitamins. No real explanation. In another instance my father asked Dr. Fan if he could take a generic equivalent of Flonase I had given him. Dr. Fan told him no, he needed to only take the more expensive Flonase. Neither of these comments make sense. My father is taking Dr. Fans word as gospel. Why would any doctor tell someone not to take multi vitamins and that he must buy an expensive medication instead of the name brand.
Dr. Fan is a great doctor. He takes his time to talk with me about what I need and what works best for me. He explains why we are getting test done or why medication is being prescribed. His staff is very friendly and they are fast and efficient. They are also very flexible when you need to change appointment times.
Hes awful. Saw him once. He did bloodwork. Saw him again today. Last week I went to ER. Was at work felt like I was going to pass out. Was afraid I might be having a stroke. He chastised me for not calling their office 1st. I didnt have a stroke but needed lactate ringer iv to get my heart under control. I told him they couldnt have done a thing 4 me. I wanted a referral for a cardiologist. He refused to treat me any longer. He knows I am being treated for breast cancer too. Unprofessional
Hes very informative, consixerate, listens to you, polite, , Dr. Fan s my primary DR.
