Dr. Fogarty is just fine. It's hard to imagine he'd laugh at a patient, as mentioned in another review, especially about something serious. He's all business, in my experience. And I'm a goofball!
The staff is very nice, but this so called Dr. Is rude and harsh, I had one visit and will never go back he thought it was funny that I didn't know that I was in kidney failure ,which I went to a real Dr and found that was not true. I have worked for many Drs and never had a guy like this one. Get a second opinion!!!!
Dr. Mark Fogarty M.Dis a "REAL"old school" DOCTOR-Who Cared About ME.Dr did Tests:1 full-year long test of my average diabetes level; the same, with Blood Pressure av.number.; same with cardiac (heart) testing;& in-office pulse, ears, mouth, bad backtested or checked. Dr said, "let your own pulmonologist treat your asthma." Dr. F. Asked many questions to me & listened very carefully.Dr.then mailed my results & Praised Me! Dr. F. Is a serious Dr. Maybe, not "your warm & fuzzy type" at first visit;Dr. F. Is Too Busy Listening to You, Asking about & listening to your health problems! But, if you need a "REAL DOCTOR, Who will spend extra time with you, takes most insurance (& you will likely be fully covered) & Be Thorough about caring about your health issues & Listening to You, the patient; You are very fortunate, indeed, because Dr. Mark Fogarty is available for you! He, my well become, and l Expect He will be, another one of the finest M.D.'s l have seen long-term as in-decades which means--One of the Top Three M.D.'s, who l have seen, in my life-l think, he will become long term, & I am 72 years young & l am a former Medical Secretary of 25 years & a Certified Teacher, so maybe l know something about doctors. I Highly reccomend to you, Dr. Mark Fogarty,M.D., as possibly your next Internest.,lnternest. M.D. ,Internist
Doctors appointments are not social visits. They have a specific purpose. Dr. Fogarty is not an ebullient, chatty, folksy person. He is not cold, haughty, or distant, either. He is focused and professional, and that is what I look for in a physician.
Constantly interrupted me while I was trying to give my history. Tried to push psychiatric meds after 5 minutes of speaking on the first appointment. Referred to the nurses as girls. Generally rude and cold.
I did learn that Dr. Fogarty responds quicker when you contact him through the portal. Not sure if thats his fault in not returning PHONE CALLS or if he isnt getting the message. He has no bedside manner; asks you a question and then types, interrupts with another questions and then types; he hardly ever looks at you until his one minute check of your vitals. He has put conditions in my chart by my merely mentioning something, such as do you snore? my husband says I do when Im on my back only and I have a diagnosis of apnea. Im afraid if I say something like mushrooms are a fungus and I eat them, hed diagnose me with a fungal infection. When I was sick as a dog and sending him messages through the portal, he did call me but said it was viral and just deal with it. When I got worse, he said I needed to be seen but he was completely booked. Let me see if my assistant can get you in with someone else. Waited and waited for a call from her, but it never came. I finally texted someone I know who works in his office (at 12:00) to see if SHE could get me in to SOMEONE; she called me at 1:00 and said can you be here at 2:30? SHE is exceptional; the rest of the staff is not so hot. If she isnt working checkout, you have to wait and wait until someone looks up from their computer to see you. That appointment at 2:30 was great! It was not with Fogarty; the doc who saw me gave me a lot of meds, a chest xray, and pneumonia was found. Fogartys medical assistant is not so hot at all. I feel more like a side of beef being examined rather than a human being. She should find another line of work.
Ive been a patient for two years now and I find Dr. Fogarty to be an excellent doctor.
I found Dr Fogarty very cold and he did not seem to be listening to my concerns The wait to schedule an appointment takes forever 13 minutes on hold
Best doctor in St. Louis for primary care and internal medicine. Simply the best! Great Doctor and Great Person!
Ive been going to Dr. Fogarty for 3 years now. As a doctor, he seems to be able to diagnose issues fairly quickly. However, I do have to say his bedside manor could definitely use some improvement. It definitely depends on the day for sure. Some days he comes in very down to earth, intune to me as the patient and willing to listen. Other days he comes in looking down at you and doesnt listen to what you have to say because he cuts you off before youre finished. His staff...where to begin... Definitely can be very rude to the patients and unprofessional. There have been several times that I have called and told that Dr. Fogarty would need to talk to me. I would wait a couple days for a call back before calling again only to find out that there wasnt a note left for Dr. Fogarty to call me. Now I try to use their patient portal so I can track when I contact him. The staff definitely needs much improvement in terms of customer/patient service.
Been going to him for more than 15 years. He always listens and finds a way to take care of the problems while allowing me to have input and a sense of control in my healthcare.
Pretty full of himself, dosent seem caring or willing to listen to what i have to say.
