Dr. Crippin and the Washington University Staff took my mother and Medicare paid her entire bill for Chemo embolization and transplant. I am sorry for your loss. My mother is still here over ten years after her diagnosis.

I am a medical technologist by trade. Dr. Crippin treats me for PSC. I hope that the negative reviews are not due to the length of time it takes to get a first-time appointment or the waiting room. The man is a workhorse, I've seen him in the halls at 6 am, 11 am, 10 pm, 1 am (these are invented example, I worked swing shift at BJC, I didn't follow him around. He has a comforting bed-side manner, but so do lots of doctors. I am NOT a doctor, but I have enough medical background to recognize a gifted physician. The nature of liver disease is that you cannot guarantee a cure, only the most comforting treatment. Dr Crippen extremely unlikely to "miss things" that other doctors often do. Asking to speak with him on the phone is not a good idea, but he has a quality nursing staff, and a quality after hours exchange. You will speak to a different doctor, but get both immediate advise, and a reply the next day from Crippin, or someone very qualified. (I am hoping the poor man takes a vacation sometimes) I hope that my praise does him justice Karl Young MT(ASCP) CLS(NCA)

If you have Medicare or Medicaid do not even waste your time. Dr. Crippen let my dear father die. My father looked up to him as his savior. He did everything he was supposed to do. My father went to another hospital and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after he seen dr. Crippin and his team a month prior. Thank you Doctor crippin,my father lies Underground and we can't even afford a headstone. As often he was at your hospital you should have caught cancer. He was my dad's For 6 years. Shame!
