Dr. Sacks is an angel sent from heaven!!!! I have elephantiasis and for almost 4yrs I had a 75 pound mass growing from my lower abdomen that would cause severe pain and massive abscesses that could have killed me at least 8 times I got them so often I lost count. Because of the lack of blood flow it caused abscesses filled with up to 2liters of infected fluid. I couldn't get any doctor to even consider helping me because of the risk involved in removing a mass this size getting bigger everyday because my body is unable to get rid excess fluid on it's own. And out of nowhere I found Dr sacks who took one look at me and said I'm going to take that thing off of you! I won't let you live like this anymore! I still have more surgeries to go but without this man I would be dead!! He has saved my life!! Thank you sooooo much words can't even express!!
left me with an Ass crack look below my bellybutton and told me to lose more weight and it would go away. Now i have to get another surgery and will have a scar coming from my belly button
Nightmare. Cancer was the easy part, being disfigured with multiple surgeries has been devastating. My insurance company had to guide me to Vanderbilt to try and correct the debacle and end the nightmare. Do your homework. Words are words. Just because someone speaks as though they understand doesn't mean they know how fix it.
He did my breast reconstruction after my mastectomy. It is a train wreck. I have to wonder who really did the reconstruction as Johns Hopkins is a teaching hospital. I thought it would work out okay after time and healing. Boy was I wrong. I was 64 at the time. Maybe he thought it didn’t matter what I looked like. He was willing to put a nipple on it, but to me that was ridiculous. No wonder he moved on to St. Louis. I do not recommend.
I had a severe chin on chest deformity of the cervical spine. A procedure was done to alleviate my deformity. My skin was damaged from radiation I had 29 years prior and the hardware became exposed. Dr. Sacks performed a skin transplant to cover all the hardware. He walked me thru the process, his bedside manner was reassuring that all would be fine, and I felt very confident that he would correct my problem. Dr. Sacks is to be commended for his expertise to get me out of a bad situation. If this post allows, I will add pictures to show how Dr. Sacks fixed the problem.
Dr. Sacks and his team are the best! They took great care of me during all of my surgeries. The lymph node transfer was a huge success for my lymphadema. When I was feeling a little scared before my last surgery, Dr. Sacks took the time to talk to me and tell me his team is there and everything will be fine. Highly recommend him!
I highly recommend this talented, amazing reconstructive / plastic surgeon, skilled in microvascular surgery who is responsible for restoring form and wholeness to me after mastectomy. A committed, brilliant surgeon to whom I am forever grateful.
Dr. Sacks is a wonderful surgeon and, just as important to me, has a great bedside manner. He is straightforward, easy to talk to, compassionate and adds humor where appropriate. He performed a lumpectomy with lift on me 2.5 years ago and now I need a mastectomy with reconstruction. He has made this recurrence easier to face knowing that he is on my team.
Love Dr. Sacks!! He is the best, always caring and professional and a talented surgeon.
Thanks for taking care of me and fixing me In surgery

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
