By far the best hospital and doctors. The staff is very friendly and upbeat ad well as attentive and respectful all around best place to go to with any kind of medical needs!! I highly recommend Mercy!! 😊👍👍👍

WE WERE SEEN BY NURSE PRACTITIONER INSTEAD OF DOCTOR DAVID ANDERSON. These guys did not tell truth upfront during checkin that Doctor Anderson is another office today. I would have rescheduled the appointment instead of being seen by Nurse Practitioner for my son. Horrible experience. I will not recommend this facility to anyone who are not honest upfront and instead argue with common people like us. I called this office in the past for Dr David Anderson’s appointment after checking my insurance and made sure doctor is in network. When we reached for appointment, they did not tell us that doctor Anderson is not in office and he will not be able to see my son. We waited long time and wasted time, money and effort. After further wait, Meghan Glover arrived, and she did not introduce herself that she is Nurse Practitioner.I was still hoping that Doctor will come and see my child.Her badge was flipped to other side and I was unable to check her name or practitioner type. She tried her best, but I was not convinced. These guys hide the truth and upfront did not disclose that Doctor will not be able to see my son.When Meghan said, next time we will see Doctor Anderson and then I realized that these guys fooled me. They said it is common for them to have nurse practitioner see first based on priority of case. My son is my priority and I paid for Doctor’s appointment and not for Nurse practitioner.On top of this, when I said Nurse practitioner is not in my insurance in network and I do not want pay out of network. Lady on front desk made bad face and said we are going to bill under Doctor Anderson. What a joke of system? You guys should stop doing this if Doctor is not available. They also said , “ Why don’t you check with your insurance? “. These guys are greedy for money and doing unethical practices by not telling truth upfront. I have reported this to my insurance and going to report to BBB.

In January, Dr. Benz performed a rotator cuff repair and arthroscopy on my right knee. Everything went well, surgery, recovery, post-op physical therapy, and medication. On July 14, Dr Benz replaced my right knee. The surgical experience was probably as good as it gets, but post operative management failed repeatedly. • During in-home physical therapy, I developed some pain in my calf. The therapist and I tried to call Orthopedic Surgery’s Exchange number, but it neither answered or offered to take a message. Our home health care office managed to work around this road block and made contact with Dr. Benz for us. • Upon clearing me from home therapy, my therapist contacted Orthopedics to order a prescription for outside PT. I accordingly made an appointment with my regular therapist for Wednesday, August 5. On Tuesday, my therapist informed me that they had not received anything. I call Orthopedics and they said they’d get right on it. Shortly afterward I received a call from Mercy Physical Therapy, seeking to schedule an appointment. I called Orthopedics again. They said nothing about Mercy Physical Therapy, and then discovered that the prescription had been sent to the wrong branch of my therapist’s firm (after the admin had asked me for the fax number to send the order!). When I got to my appointment Wednesday, they told me they never got a scrip from Mercy; their other office had forwarded the misdirected scrip to them. • On Tuesday, I ordered a refill for my pain medication via My Chart. I called Friday to Orthopedics to find out the status of this order. I was informed that they had no record of an order being placed, and offered to expedite the issue. Nothing has happened, so it looks like I get to spend the weekend without pain meds. This is discouraging. I’d recommend Dr. Benz to anyone in a heartbeat, except that the Mercy South organization has dropped the ball too many time for me to feel comfortable about working with them.

I saw Dr. Benz for surgery and post surgical checkups. He was great, made sure questions were answered and everything went smoothly. The rest of the staff in the office were amazing also. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile! Only reason for the four star review is because there was a paperwork mix up behind the scenes obe time that resulted in a late paycheck for me, but they were able to fix it and they apologized.

Dr Vanderhave is an excellent orthopaedic surgeon. My child had surgery w/ her in NC. My child previously had multiple surgeries bilaterally w/ a different surgeon at another practice. The surgeon decided to focus more on hands and we were then handed over to another doctor at the same practice who was very dismissive. After seeking a second opinion and being sent all over the place for specialized testing per another physician, we ended up meeting Dr. Vanderhave who immediately impressed us.

My grandson was in a riding lawnmower accident where his foot had to be amputated . He also had a over 20 stitches on his pelvis area. Dr. Vander Have was the surgeon. I felt shewas very uncaring about his well being. We had to call some many times about getting pain meds. I'm thinking he was released because of insurance issues. We were only there a week after a foot amputation.. she told us he would be in the hospital for a long time after speaking to the family. Also, the skin was left open on the side of his pelvis. So, it had to close on its own. We went in for a follow up and she didn't remove the dirty bandage from his pelvis area and took him into surgery. What about Mercer and staff infection!! There is more but I will tell you I saw no compassion and caring character in regards to my grandson and I told her that over the phone. I can't believe she work with children!!!

She spends time explaining on what is going on and what is going to happen after surgery. Very detailed, professional and nice

Doc performed surgery to correct my child's femoral anteversion. Major surgery! Result appears to be good so far (more time is needed for more complete healing and gait training) and we're all hoping the problems experienced prior have been corrected. Doc pays attention to details in her work, as she should. My high expectations have been met so far.

Dr.Kelly Vanderhave is an excellent surgeon and a very compasionate person. She has done 3 going on 4 surgerys on my daughter. She takes her time to explain the surgery, she comes to the hospital everyday. She truly treats her patients like family. We will forever be grateful to her.

I would tell every one to go to her shes fast efficient and down to the point.She has you going and on your feet be for you know it. I knew I was going to like her the second she walked in the door.
