Dr. Rangaswany was horrifically rude and unprofessional on a virtual consultation. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic and I’ve been waiting over an hour to speak with a pediatrician from home for my child who is showing signs of covid19. We were supposedly 8 patients away from being seen when I stepped out of my bedroom to use the restroom while my daughter kept tabs on our place in line. I was gone for 2 minutes when she said it was our turn. I quickly washed my hands to handle the phone while my husband held the phone for me. When finally saw the doctor he said “Good God ma’am we’re 3 minutes into this and I have 20 patients to see!” And the. He yelled at me for not keeping the phone still enough. I told him my husband is a UMC physician as well and that he provides better care than this. The man said “fine” and shooed his hands at the screen and then I hung up. Now my sick child is shaking and sad that we were treated that way. This man is a disgrace to the profession!
