Consider myself very fortunate to be in the care of Dr. Westervelt. He has been with me and my challenge with MDS since 2016. I drive from Springfield, MO for my lab work and consultation with Dr. Westervelt. He takes time to explain my current status in layman's terms so that I understand. Cares for me in a way, that I believe, every patient should be cared for.

I was referred to Dr. Westervelt from my Oncologist in Columbia, MO. He has been kind, patient, thorough and honest since day one. I have felt secure and well informed.

Dr. Westervelt is an amazing oncologist whose expertise and knowledge saved my life several times. His staff is wonderful as well. I get quick responses when I have concerns and any questions are answered right away. He takes his time with his patients and goes over everything thoroughly. I can't even imagine going elsewhere when my life is at risk.

He's great until he kicks you out of your trial study and the only medicine that's saving your life! Then has his team of quacks that over see you when your hospitalized who know absolutely nothing about you or your history! They failed to notice my husband liver was compromised enlarged prior to his stem cell transplant then refused to test for graft vs host syndrome He died at the age of 40!!!!! They said we don't test for graft vs host until after day 30 he died on day 30!!!
