List of Steve Campbell Stromsdorfer's Reviews
Dr. Stromdorfer is great! The receptionist Mickey is extremely rude and unprofessional. Find better help Dr. S!
I really like Dr. Stromdorfer. His receptionist Mickey is so rude and unprofessional, however. Please find better help!
Dr. Steve has been awesome! Very knowledgeable, professional and his staff does what they can to help you when you need it. Other doctor's offices I have worked with are rude and unfriendly. Not this group. If you ask something of them they are quick to help and if they can't right away they communicate with you the minute they can. I would highly recommend Dr. Steve and staff!
My friend is the patient but I've gone to appoints with my friend. I've even called his exchange over a weekend because my friend was having severe mania and 6 hours later he returned the call. He forgot to turn on his pager apparently. He prescribes him an amphetamine for weight loss that continues to bring these episodes of mania and psychosis. Every doctor I have mentioned this to says you should never prescribe phentermine yi a psychiatric patient. I find him very unprofessional and could care less about his patients. I may file a complaint against him with the liscesure board in Missouri.
My son has been seeing this doctor for 8 months. We have had a very negative experience with him. He is rude and disrespectful to my son talks down to him and interupts constantly. He even hung up on him several times. I would definitely NOT recommend this doctor. Positive note his staff trys to be helpful but is limited to what they can do for patients without him interferring. I believe this doctor needs to learn to deal with mental health in a more delicate manner and possibly seek treatment himself.
I had been seeing Dr. Stromsdorfer for a very long time. He has a very good knowledge of medications and had always been a decent enough doctor to me. Nothing super special, but decent. I even have recommended him to two of my close friends. My last appointment I had a small disagreement regarding a charge on my account. He literally grabbed the phone from his receptionist and started yelling at me. He would not even let me get a word in. He ranted at me for several minutes before finally letting me explain my situation. Even then while I was speaking he interrupted me and was very disrespectful. My head was spinning! I was shocked that a medical professional, MY doctor and a Psychiatrist would ever speak to a patient the way he did to me. I related this experience to my friend that I had recommended him to, and she proceeded to tell me that he did the same to her over some paper work he was asked to fill out for insurance purposes for her. He yelled at her repeatedly and left her in tears. My recommendation is that you look elsewhere for psychiatric help than this man. He clearly needs psychiatric help himself!
Absolutely the worst Dr. I have ever seen/been in contact with. Very disrespectful person I highly recommend avoiding this Doctor
I’ve seen many psychologists and Dr. Stromsdorfer is by far, in my opinion, the best. He listens to my needs and adjusts my medications to get me on an even keel. Samples are even given to save money at the drug store. I’m sorry to see the negative reviews, but He keeps it real, and doesn’t “pussyfoot” around any issues.
Couldn't ask for a better doctor. Dr Stromsdorfer is supportive, understanding and professional. His office staff are pleasant and very helpful. 5 out of 5 stars!
My husband has been seeing the Doctor for quite a few years. He played with meds until he had the right concoction, something no other doctor did. When our insurance changed and copays were up to $80 he's worked with my husband so he's not having to go so often but still getting his meds. He's been a lifesaver. Saturday appointments are great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
