Saw this doctor for the first time and I will not be going back. He told me that I needed to use the proper medical jargon when describing my symptoms. He would stop and correct me after he would ask ME a question. Told me I needed to be on the highest dose of my medication despite me telling him I didn’t like the symptoms at that high of a dose. He blew me off and said that is not possible. Basically disregarded everything I had to say. My appointment was also over an hour late. It was a nightmare. His office staff were lovely. The Dr. is a disgrace.

I've been seeing Dr. Nowatny for about ten years and I wouldn't even consider going to another psychiatrist. He closely monitors my progress and medication. He's kind, respectful and appointments are never rushed. Highly recommended.

Saw him a number of years ago, but was so terrible I have to post now. He's ask me a question, then when I answered he said that wasn't answering what he was asking. I guess he was trying to lead me to say something specific. Another time he took a phone call in the middle of my appointment. For a while I went just to get my meds so I wouldn't get withdrawal symptoms if I missed them. It wasn't helping. Eventually I stopped going because I was sick of him acting so disinterested in helping me. You're better off going elsewhere. Anywhere. Literally anywhere else.

This D had no knowledge of my sons real issues, constantly could not remember meds he prescribed, had absolutely no patience for talk and obviously was burned out in his job

I love him. I use to go to him years ago and loved him then too. I went back to get my meds looked at and am so happy I did. He knows his meds. I was on a lot of wrong meds. He will get me straightened out. He is a straight shooter and totally listens to you. Thanks Doc! You’re the best!!!

Dr. Nowotony is a no nonsense to the point doctor. That is right rather than wasting your precious time with chit chat. But, he is not "hard core". You can see that he does really care about your results.

Do NOT choose this doctor. He has absolutely no compassion or bedside manner at all. He has the empathy of a brick. Go to Healthgrade reviews on him. He has 22 one-star ratings...way more bad reviews than any good one. PLEASE do not see this doctor!!

I love him!! He has saved me from myself twice. He’s a straight shooter and won’t sugar coat it for you. I’m lucky to have found him. If you’re a drug seeker go somewhere else. He knows his meds and will find the correct dosage for you. He is absolutely wonderful.
