List of Virginia Herrmann's Reviews
In 2005, I had a failed lumpectomy, along with no sentinel node biopsy from a former Doctor. Next came along Dr. Jenny Herrmann. She gives a new meaning to “get a second opinion.” When I found her I was at the bottom of the pit and she threw me the lifeline that I needed. The first day I was in her office she took my hand and walked me thru the journey with knowledge, mentoring and let’s not forget outstanding surgical skill. If only everyone could have a competent and compassionate Doctor like her, illness would be so much less stressful. it is now 15 years later and I am happy to tell you I am still cancer free.
Saved my life, great doctor! I can recommend her. She answered all my questions and was very kind to my husband and myself. Very compassionate
Dr. Herrmann was my doctor in South Carolina and I can't say enough good things about her. This was my second bout with breast cancer and her professionalism and kindness is amazing - she is a very special person. I would highly recommend her to anyone - I don't think you could find a more understanding person. I just had my yearly exam today (5th year) with excellent review.
Dr. Herrmann is extremely professional, thorough, and probably one of the best oncological surgeons in the field of medicine. Important to me was her caring, patient, and intuitive perception of a patient’s needs as I went through the process of mastectomy. I truly feel very lucky that I had her as my oncological surgeon and recommend her without reservation. Barbara Barrett, HHI
Run. As fast as you can. Elsewhere. She was very friendly and seemingly compassionate the first visit. Soon, she began to get rude, pompus, and dismissive. She wouldn't allow my husband in for one office visit. The next time, he was asking her basic questions that she refused to answer. She completely ignored him as if he wasn't in the room. He couldn't have been an nicer or friendlier to her. She seemed very incompetent as my visits went on. I wanted to switch doctors but had little time, a decision I regret. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE CARED FOR A CHRISTIAN HOSPITAL NE. You deserve better and so did I! If it wasn't for another doctor, I would have been dead by now. I had to search and seek out my own oncologist when things went from bad to worse. She didn't stay on top of my treatment and allowed the tumor to grow in size and spread. I went from Stage 3 to Stage 4 under her care. She neglected signs of the spread as well and thankfully I brought up those issues to another doctor who was able to treat it further.
A very caring person.
When Dr. Virginia Herrmann worked in St. Louis, she removed a cyst I had. But when it came time to remove the sutures, she had a student do it. Well, 6 months later I kept wondering why the incision had a dark blue/black line going through it. It's because the sutures UNDER my skin were not removed! I'm thankful I didn't get an infection. The Dr. had a poor bedside manner about it when I came back in! She used my stomach as a table for her surgical tools, kept threatening to take me into an operating room...several times and acted very irritated. She had to cut me back open, remove the old sutures & put new sutures in. I will never forget that incident since I lost a day's worth of pay, had to pay for parking and worst of all, put up with her unpleasant attitude - like I was the problem for her!
Did terrible job on my sutures - ended up with multiple appts and charged for all of them!! Office didn't care or work me in when they got infected. Am still scarred - dermatologist and plastic surgeon have seen and expressed shock at how poorly they were done. She expressed "Concern" over the sutures when she first took them out at post op and then walked out of room w/o explaining or sending nurse in. I also ended up with bills from ER room and other specialists because of them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
