Dr. Sciortino seems to dislike his job. He was condescending when I asked questions he dismissed them and acted irritated that I was asking them. At one point he told me that I didn't have good questions so I asked him to help me ask the right questions but he just scoffed and said he didn't know. However, the rest of the staff at the eye clinic were fantastic

Found this Dr. to be extremely rude!!! His office staff at St. Anthony's are extremely unprofessional and there is absolutely no privacy. Everyone hears everyone else's business.

Very rude, doesn't let you speak and tell of your concerns and gets pissed if you interrupt him as he is speaking. Must have a disdain for military personnel and veterans when he speaks of a individuals service. Have to see him to get an operation but hopefully will get another doctor to do the surgery that is needed. Its great he has got the education and experience to do the job he has but he needs to remember without patients he would be unemployed.;

Dr Sciortino is great and I trust him fully . His staff on Lemay IS ANOTHER STORY. You get the feeling like your really bothering them by being there and there so rude.

I've been going to Dr. Sciortino for years. The care is good, the staff is friendly, and he's very professional (and always busy). I think some of the other reviewers are mistaking efficiency for unfriendliness. When it comes to my eyes, I'm not looking for an entertainer. I'm looking for someone who knows what he's doing. That would be Dr. S.

Professionally Dr S is very good. Have had successful cataract surgrery performed by him. Feel my eyecare is good. Has a "bark worse than his bite" personalitywise. Does seems unnecessary but......did feel for the scrub nurse being chastised while the patient is awake.

My sentiments exactly. Doesn't answer questions except with a sarcastic retort that doesn't answer your question. On my first visit, he twiddled his thumbs while going over what was in the booklet I had been given to read. When I said "Dr., I am confused" He replied, "There is nothing to be confused about" and went on reciting. Rude, arrogant, imperious. No explanations of care after the surgery - how long to take drops, how long before you can drive, how long you must wear the gosh-awful, too-big sunglass shades. And don't bother to ask. You are a bother to him.
