No bedside manner. Do not suggest

I had been a pt of Dr. Matuszek’s for 12 years. I never once saw her until 8 years later when I was pregnant with my first baby. I was always seen by NP. Even during my pregnancies I rarely saw her. Was almost always scheduled with the NP, which was ok, but the NP isn’t the one delivering my baby’s. During my 2nd pregnancy I had developed a complication that required an induction. Instead of Dr. M coming in and explaining the reason for the induction she had her triage RN come in and tell me. I wasn’t seen at all by a Doctor or NP. I had to call after my visit, and request that Dr. M call me for further explanation. Lab results were missed, and when I went in for my induction I had critical lab results that required continuous IV medication and continuous heart monitoring for myself my entire hospital stay. My third pregnancy resulted in a traumatic unplanned home birth. Dr. M didn’t reach out once until I was seen at my 6 wk pp visit. My experience was laughed at. Left practice after.

I have seen Dr. Matuszek for over 10 years, and am so happy I was referred to her! Pre and postnatal care is exceptional, and my three deliveries with her were amazing. You can tell Dr. Matuszek truly cares for her patients. She's kind, thorough, and takes the time to answer any questions. She's an asset to the community.

Dr Janet Matuszek is one of, if not THE BEST, OB/GYN in the St Louis area. My family members and friends have all been referred to her over the years and love her. She is an extraordinary physician- compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, and skilled. She listens to your concerns and provides the best medical treatment. My family has been through some scary moments and it was the honesty, competence, and commitment that Dr Matuszek has that helped to alleviate unnecessary fears. Dr Matuszek is passionate about delivering excellent medical care, it truly is her calling. Oh, her nurse practitioners are phenomenal! ❤️

The best physician I’ve ever known. Her office is busy, and there have been times I’ve had to wait- but I’ve never felt rushed. She’s just that good. I trust her implicitly. She is knowledgeable, honest, and compassionate.

Such great office staff as well as a great Dr. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was in and out :)

Doctors, nurses are wonderful. Front desk manager no. A bill that is supposed to be paid by my insurance company was not paid. I have going back & forth with the bill. I have been denied health care from my OB by the manager for MONTHS for a bill that is not in my control. They have to dispute the bill with insurance company & still refuse to see me until that is taken care of. I’ve had to use upside sources that don’t network with my insurance for basic women checks up & birth control because of this. Changing doctors immediately.

The best obgyn I have come across. She has the most gentle way of communicating.

If you value your life do not go to her. She performed an outpatient surgery to remove a fibroid and ended up cutting my colon in the process. Sent me home with meds and I was supposed to be able to work the next day but became septic and was within 24 hours of dying. Very careless and the fake bedside manner didn't last.
