My experiences with Dr. Shaikh and the office and medical staff have been so refreshing! I have left each appointment feeling reassured and taken care of, and I am so grateful. Dr. Shaikh took the time to listen to my concerns and he came up with a great plan that I have felt confident in each step of the way. Procedures like this can be scary, and let’s face it, not fun. But Dr. Shaikh and his staff have made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole process, and they have been beyond friendly and understanding. He did a fantastic job, and I have already recommended him to friends and family who I know will be just as taken care of.

This is my second time going to Dr. Shaikh and both appointments and surgeries have gone fantastic. Dr. Shaikh and his staff were able to get my appointment quickly that worked with my schedule. During both visits, the staff were incredibly helpful while I was filling out paperwork. Prior to the surgeries, Dr. Shaikh made sure that I was informed as he went over my x-rays and upcoming procedures. Dr. Shaikh and his staff ensured that I was comfortable and in the know as they prepared me for my surgeries. Both surgeries were quick and executed perfectly. Dr. Shaikh and his staff provided me with all of the necessary materials and information to care for myself after surgery and made sure to let me know to call them if I needed anything or had any questions I would highly recommend Dr. Shaikh to anyone. He is thorough, polite, personable, and highly skilled. There’s a reason why even his colleagues consider him one of the best oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Missouri!

Staff was great but surgeon was rushed, unfriendly, and his work was brutal. I have had a tooth pulled before and didn't expect a good time. But this surgeon was so brutal, I wish I had demanded the procedure be stopped so I could leave. He slammed so hard into the tooth next to the one removed, the tooth was loose in the gum for two weeks.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and highly recommend seeing Dr. Shaikh!! I was extremely nervous since I had been told by other doctors at different places that in doing my teeth extraction, I had a slight chance of becoming paralyzed in my lower face since my bottom wisdom teeth were so close to the nerve line. I came to see a new doctor at a new location (Midwest Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery in St. Peters - Dr. Shaikh) and his WONDERFUL assistant Matt after hearing this news to get a second opinion and WOW was it the best thing I did. Dr. Shaikh completely reassured me that in no way was I going to be paralyzed because the nerve line would only possibly make me become temporarily/permanently numb, but chances were very very slim since I am young and in good health (and he's very good at his job), and nerve lines had nothing to do with motor function. SO, after doing some serious crying in front of them, I got my surgery done and have ZERO NUMBNESS afterwords!!

My daughter just had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Sheikh and I have to say this was the worst patient care experience I have ever had in my 50 years. The consultation was a video to watch. No discussion of her specific situation no care or concern after surgery. No patient check in call day of surgery or anytime there after. My daughter started experiencing extreme pain on day three still under narcotics and we were told pain management was necessary. She suffered three days and three nights of excruciating pain calling the exchange multiple timesBy day five post surgery her dentist stepped in and found out she had 2 dry sockets and an infection. Did not get a call from this oral surgeon until an hour after dental appointment- five days after her surgery and multiple days of trying to get help.

I was not impressed. He did not appear to want to bother with my daughter. He explained away her symptoms of pain and just didn’t seem to be concerned at the severity of her distress.
