Robert R. Macdonald Iii's Online Review Report Card

I can not possibly thank Dr. Robert MacDonald for such a wonderful sinus surgery yesterday. From the first time I met him in his office a few months back, he was very kind, professional, and very understanding to all of my sinus issues. He truly wants to help me get better and figure out why I keep getting sinus infections, which means a lot to me bcuz Dr. MacDonald is the first ENT that I have seen that wants to figure out the why, and not just see me every 4 years for another sinus surgery, which is what my last ENT surgeon told me. I’ve had 2 other sinus surgeries in the past and this was my 3rd sinus surgery to date, but it was my 1st time sinus surgery with Dr. MacDonald, and it could not have went any better. I’ve never woken up the next morning from a sinus surgery in minimal pain until now. He must have a very steady and gentle hand bcuz I feel really great, and my surgery was just yesterday. I want to thank all the OR hospital staff at Barnes St. Peter’s, from my nurse there to the anesthesiologist and anesthetist, and of course Dr. MacDonald himself. I felt like everyone was truly listening to me and paying attention as they all had a plan of action before I went into the OR to make sure I was in minimal pain when I woke up since I am a baby when it comes to pain, and I was able to go home that same afternoon since they got my pain under control. The best part was I did not get nauseous or have any vomiting even once I got home, which was a first for me after general anesthesia, so they were 110% on top of it, and everyone took extremely good care of me. I just want to say thank you again, and I am so appreciative for everything. Hopefully I won’t need to do this again, but “IF” I have too then I would not hesitate to go through another sinus surgery with Dr. MacDonald and the OR staff at the hospital. Thank you thank you!

I’m a good family friend of the MacDonalds and they are the sweetest, most genuine, giving people I know! They always put others first and are so welcoming to everyone! I know Dr. MacDonald carries this same love and kindness over to his patients and his practice.

Dr. Macdonald is professional, timely, and knowledgeable. After visiting many other doctors and getting all different answers/treatments, he managed to correctly diagnose me. He even followed up after my appointment to check how I was doing. I would recommend anyone to visit Dr. Macdonald!

I’d recommend going to Dr Robert MacDonald. He is very professional focusing on your health issue vs a lot of small talk. He’s a knowledgeable and skilled surgeon who effectively operated on my ear. The only improvement area is that it is challenging to narrow down all of the up front costs up front prior to having surgery (ie, facility, antesiology).

He’s top notch through and through. I had septoplasty surgery with turbinate reduction and sinus surgery and it went great, he’s extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I’ve had surgeries before and he’s one of my all time favorite surgeons.

By far the worst phone system i have ever seen. No one picks up the phone and then it disconnects you. THE WORST

Dr. MacDonald is a great doctor! I have a daughter away at college prone to ear issues and he has always been very helpful and responsive in guiding us on how to proceed with treatment.

My husband saw Dr. MacDonald after suffering from what he was told was an ear infection by an urgent care. For almost 2 weeks he had no relief and then he developed paralysis on one side of his face. We called the office and they got us in immediately. Dr. MacDonald knew right away what my husband had was shingles in his ear and not an ear infection and the shingles had caused Bell’s Palsy. Dr. MacDonald treated him and had him on the road to recovery. He was seeing my husband regularly during his treatment and recovery and had him seeing specialist for his eye which was affected by the Bell’s Palsy. Dr. MacDonald is very knowledgeable and listens and takes time with his patients. My husband made a full recovery and has few lasting effects from the Bell’s Palsy, thanks to Dr. MacDonald!

Dr. MacDonald is excellent with his patients and is very kind and caring. He and his staff were very efficient and kind when I went in.
