Dirk Thompson's Online Review Report Card

As my former Primary Care Doctor recently retired, I met my new Primary Care Doctor, Dr. Thompson for the first time on January 6, 2022, and was very happy to have him as my Doctor, and was very impressed with both his abilities and his pleasant manner. He was easy to converse with, and he explained what we would be doing going forward with my care. He allowed ample time for an exam, and asked me if prior to my next follow up care I would be willing to have lab work done one week prior , so that he would have the lab work available when he next sees me. I was impressed that it would be very helpful to have that available. I was also impressed with other personnel working with him, such as his Nurse Nicole, and the Receptionist Tresa. Centerwell (formerly Partners in Primary Care) seems to be well managed and is a very welcoming place for Seniors. Thank you Centerwell Senior Primary Care and Dr. Dirk Thompson

Dr. Thompson was my PCP, and he fired me after putting me on Cymbslta for nearly a year (a drug which he said he was taking, too) for anxiety, and then left on six month paternity leave without making any arrangement for refills. No physician in his practice would refill the prescription in his stead, and I was left to go through withdrawals without titrations, which made me ragingly suicidal with severe insomnia for several weeks. Upon his return to practice he sent me a nastygram via mail telling me that my reaction to his refusal to answer any calls from his service was “unprofessional” and he would not be my provider moving forward. I have not - and will never - see another doctor after my experience with this man. I still have nightmares about this experience.

Dr. Thompson is arrogant, rude and condescending. If you say something he doesn't agree with, he won't hear you out, but he'll talk over you and bully you until you lose the will to argue on your own behalf. He's worse than bad; he is malevolent.
