I presented at the Barton Co. hospital emergency room with severe left arm and shoulder pain. Since I had a history of heart problems, Dr,. Cauchi immediately initiated cardiac protocol: aspirin, EKG, and measuring cardiac enzymes, and he and the staff kept careful check on me while labs were being done, but it turned out that it was not cardiac. He was very attentive, personable, and very competent. I would recommend him to anyone needing emergency care. S.G.

I can't even give Dr. Cauchi a rating because he was that horrible. I was sent to the ER with high liver enzymes and he tried to discharge me with a fever of 103.3 and a rash when I came in with no fever and no rash. After I refused discharge and demanded to see another doctor, I was then admitted to the hospital by the second opinion I received and stayed in the hospital for four days with what was finally diagnosed as Stevens-Johnsons syndrome which a very rare and dangerous drug reaction.

I have no doubt Dr. Cauchi is good physician. He is knowledgeable; however, his bedside manner and communication skills are seriously lacking. I was not treated with respect or compassion the majority of the time I was there. Towards the end of my visit, he finally listened to my concerns and he did become caring and compassionate. That was after I had been in his care for 3 hours.

He is rude and has an arrogant attitude. If he cares about the patient's well-being, he doesn't demonstrate it.

This Dr. was very rude, made a diagnosis without any tests and would not treat me. He made me feel like I was making up my problems and generally made me feel terrible. I would never see this man again and I have started a formal complaint against him through the hospital.

Horrible doctor! I would not take our dog to see him. He does not address pain issues (I have a herniated disk that led me to see Dr. Cauchi), his exam was not thorough at all. I've seen bad doctors before. Dr. Cauchi is one of the very worst. It's too bad. The hospital Dr. Cauchi is affiliated with is excellent. Doctors like him make it look bad.
