Barbara A. Bumberry's Online Review Report Card

Dr Bumberry was my primary care physician for years and she is the reason why I am switching over from Mercy to Cox. She has put false information in my file multiple times, denied me tests and treatment for bacterial infections and many other issues that I have to be treated for in a di facility because she told me I was lying about my symptoms. I had to bring my 50+ year old mother in to my appointments at 23 years old because Bumberry refused to listen to my concerns unless I brought a witness with me. I've gone her appointments alone and brought up concerns that she said I was lying about having until I brought my mother in to confirm my symptoms of the disease that Bumberry refused to test me for. Bumberry ignored my concerns and repeatedly accused me of lying, making up symptoms and being a hypochondriac because she had seen my diagnosis of a personality disorder in my chart and labeled me as a hypochondriac automatically. my mother has had to advocate against her refusal to test me for an autoimmune disease because she said I was too young to have health problems. I do not recommend her for anyone else Who may have a chronic condition or illness as she is biased and ableist.

Dismissive and skips over physical exam findings. The staff was nice however.

No sense of urgency, no phone calls back, no answers, no help

Misdiagnosed Cancer for psoriasis then said it was bronchitis it was months before she finally sent him for a biopsy

Incompetent and the staff is uncaring and unprofessional.

She is very competent; usually available to speak to. Watches over he staff well

If you want to see a doctor that does absolutely no physical assessment on a very sick patient that just got out of the hospital then this is the doctor for you. She has a very condescending attitude and talks down to patients. I am a registered nurse, and have worked in a clinical setting, and she is the worst clinical doctor I have ever experienced. Do not use her as a PCP if you have multiple medical issues, or psychiatric issues. She will drop you from her clinic.

Dr Bumberry, has been my DR for 12 years and is great. My guess is some of the folks leaving bad reviews went there with a plan and she going to be ethical no matter what. Every DR's office run behind sometimes... Find one that is never busy and there's going to be a good reason why.

This lady made my mom go to an ER after going through chemo because she didn't want to prescribe her pain medicine. After arriving at hospital full of sick people we were finally seen by an actual doctor. She was fantastic and couldn't believe how little Bumberry was doing to keep my moms pain under control. I would not refer this lady to anyone. Luckily we got referrals and a doctor who actually cares about her patient Today.

I went to her over a year ago because I was having pain and swelling in my armpit/shoulder area and had been experiencing these symptoms for more than a year. when I was telling her about my symptoms she kept giving me this look like she didn't believe me. Finally she examined my sweaty armpit with her bare hands and told me to come back when it was actively hurting, lol. She said I was due for a mammogram and that I would get a referral call...I never did. I left her office feeling stupid and like nothing serious was wrong. Fast forward to today, I just finally got a mammogram and they found something in that very area! I have to go back in for more testing and I am ANGRY that she didn't do her job and that it might have cost me everything. I will not let her get away with this, believe that. She is incompetent and rude and I fully plan on filing with the AMA. Find a better doctor, you have been warned.
