Daniel Ray Cardwell's Online Review Report Card

I was unfortunately sent to Cardwell from a sports medicine doctor after I discovered a lump on my ankle. Cardwell removed it in the procedure room and I have been back 3 times, because the incision will not close. I have repeatedly explained I am in pain, that it is bleeding and seeping thick yellow drainage, and he dismissed my concerns and insisted I just needed more stitches. After being stitched up TWICE, I refused a third time and requested to be released from his care and stated I would be looking for a second opinion. He effectively told me my pain was in my head, and I am horrified at the treatment from this office. I have had multiple surgeries, and had a significant number of past sutures, never in my life have I been so disregarded. He didn't use hand sanitizer before he came into the room, nor was his hands. He did not explain anything. He did not introduce himself. He BARELY made eye contact. Absolutely do not see this man, he is not a good physician!

Went in for a routine surgery. He should have sent me on to a specialist. He operated. Cut an artery which kept bleeding internally. I was in tons of pain. They didn't want to fix correctly. Just wanted me to call ER. Racking up more bills. One year later I'm in more pain. No response from their office for follow ups. I will not pay and collection has been filed. Friends and family that work for Cox have told me "after" my surgery that he's a well known "hack" surgeon. Do NOT recommend!!!!

God bless Cardwell and his team he works with! Hands down one of the best Surgical teams around they did an amazing job on my surgery. I was scared and they made me very comfortable they get right to business!

Preformed surgery that general surgeon should not when he seenwhat was wrong he should have immediately called in a neurosurgeon its been 3 years still having issues worze than before he did surgery when tried to get in he always got called away on emergency was admitted several times to the hospital and wouldn't even bother seeing me but kept telling my other dr he would be in he also preformed surgery on my son my son has my issues sincd the surgery then before also

This man is a terrible doctor, my mom had a major operation and 3 weeks after she is still in pain and this doctor refuses to help he with pain management. Instead they tell her she will just have to deal with it or go to ER even tho they could help her with pain management. I wouldn't recommend this doctor or his staff they are very cold hearted

After emergency surgery repairing my detached intestines and removing 8-10" of colon, gall bladder and appendix, I spent 6 days in the hospital. On the last day I was given solid food for the first time and they brought me a cheeseburger and salad!!! I told them that shouldn't I start off a little easier and this idiot doctor said, Eat whatever you want! To say the least, after 2 bites my pain was horrible within 15 minutes and I was pooping all over myself. When I got home and called my doctor she was appalled! This guy needs to retire!!

I had emergency surgery with this surgeon and the after care was incompetent. My intestines had detached from my abdominal wall and were twisted and mangled. After removing 8-10 inches of colon and gall bladder I was in the hospital 6 days. The last day I was finally given solid food and they started me with a cheeseburger and salad!! I just meet, Dr. Cardwell last week! His team, and him was very caring, they actually listened! That is two thinges doctors, and staff don't do nowadays. I'm soo blessed to have been referred to Dr. Cardwell. He listened, and he cared tht Ibwas having soo much pain and sickness. He had me in surgery three days later. Yes I'm still in recovery, he has taken great care of me. Thank you. Dr. Cardwell thank you for taking my case and my pain away!!!!

After going to ER Aug.12 for severe pain it was determined I had a very nasty gall bladder. Jamie his PA came in and explained Dr. Cardwell would be doing surgery. What should have been routine became a longer procedure. If he had not treated me so quickly I might not be here today. His honesty explaining to me was excellent. Would highly recommend even though I hope I don't need his services again for anything else. Knowing if I ever do he would be the first one I'd call. His staff in office for followup were all very friendly and efficient.

Excellent doctor who cares about his patients. He was very professional and goes that extra mile to help. Dr Cardwell is honest and to the point. We appreciate this in a doctor.
