Had surgery a week ago for worker comp,they me that I would be seen a week for a follow-up,when I called n asked they told me that it would be 3 weeks,been In a lot of pain asked for help,I was told to take Tylenol, n ibprohen.i have been having to work 12 hour day n no relief. It's sad that people get treated this way,in n out cut u open n ur left to deal with it .its un humane

Dr. David Volgas is an phenomenal surgeon& just an awesome doctor. His personality is stellar! I had been in an auto accident that nearly cost me my life. He had performed half of the surgeries that I had to have. He made it possible for me to walk again! My accident happened March 17 with multiple trauma injuries. I was up & walking without any type of aid or assistance before my last doctor appointment July 17 of this year! He knows his stuff plus you can feel that he cares about his patients well being! I was never rushed, answered any and all questions, made sure all my insecurities were never dealt with alone. Thank you Dr.Volgas! I will always be greatful!

Dr. Volgas is highly recommended. He handled my displaced trimalleour fracture with 4 plates and “many” screws. Very patient oriented and took time to answer all questions - did not appear rushed at all, both pre-surgery, post-surgery, and at follow up. He did a great job!

Dr. Volgas is very understanding and compassionate. He cares about his patients and it shows.

The best doctor, he gave me the best care possible. I hate he is no longer in Alabama so I could continue my care with him.

I was admitted to the hospital through the ER and told Dr. Volgas was going to do surgery. I had a septic hip which is an urgent case. The next am I was seen by a resident working with him and then was taken into surgery. Dr. Volgas spoke with my wife after the surgery telling her what was done and that I had some cartilage damage. This means I will need a hip replacement in the future. I spent 3 days in the hospital being treated for the infection, never once did I see the Dr. only his PA. I was released home and after a week I was wanting some information about my care path and my return to work, so I called the office but could not get anyone to call me back. I contacted my patient care representative and explained how I had received little to no patient care. She contacted his office and after 10 days I finally talked to my Dr for the 1st time. He was very defensive and told me I needed to find a new job ASAP and that I would need a new hip in less than 1yr. He said it was extremely serious and made me feel like I was going to be a cripple for the rest of my life, I am only36. He in no way gave the same information to my wife when he spoke with her. So either he lied to her or he was taking out his frustration of my complaints on me. This is not how a Dr should be towards his patients!

Dr. Volgas is the best!I had been treated for 1&1/2 yrs for multiple compound fractures of tib./fib. w/o any healing & a poor prognosis, prior to transferring to him & I had the experience of being an orthopedic nurse, prior to becoming disabled. He is professional, courteous & totally knowledgeable on the latest treatments. After less than a year & a surgery that wasn't even thought of by my former MD, my bone is almost completely healed with a good prognosis of walking on it again; & even if I don't, I know I had the best care available. We travel 200 miles to see him but it is worth any amount of travel to get the quality care Dr. Volgas provides. Don't fool around with substandard care & lose any chance of having the best outcome possible. 'Google' him, as I did & you won't think of seeing anyone else. I thank God that I was led to Dr. Volgas.
