"She also became somewhat threatening to my MA and also myself today. She was upset that I did not recommend chronic prednisone use for her migraines and pain. " These were the notes left on my chart. After the doctor said it was malpractice for me to have been prescribed prednisone because it was the only way I could function, and that I was so exhausted, to the point I threw up after a shower. He said it was still not appropriate and that he had no answer for what to do if I couldnt keep my job. When I said I felt I had nothing to live for if I had no job, insurance or ability to function, he threatened to call police. I repeatedly said I was not asking for him to prescribe the medication, and I also said I was pointing out he could be wrong about the medication.

No bedside manners, he found No problems in his medical field ENT, then gave his opinion, also completely wrong! If he would have listened to me it would have saved me 3 months worth of suffering. I drove to another ENT medical provider that found the opposite in less than an hour. Would not recommend ..

My adult daughter saw this guy. He was not empathetic and quite dismissive of her suffering in general. Not a good example of a competent, compassionate healer.

Dr is very kind and honest. He referred me to his partner, however who does not even list my condition among his abilities. I would see him again but not his partner.

I was very pleased with Dr. Mertensmeyer he was very polite and he was great with my 10 year old. I am pleased with him as my sons Dr and we will continue to see him. I would recommend him to others as well.

Dr. Mertensmeyer is a skilled Dr and knows his medicine, however he has poor bedside manner, can be condescending and has little patience with children. I would have no hesitation in using him if my criteria was his knowledge and skill alone, but his attitude and demeanor are much harder to work with.
