Lavanya Tiriveedhi's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr T for over 6 years. She is so positive, caring and knowledgeable. She always has time for my questions and shows concern for me. I’m very fortunate to have her as my doctor through my many illnesses.

She was very thorough, seemed interested in me as a person, on top of recent research.

Tragically, she was unwilling to deviate from operating "by the book" in her treatment plan, which reflected her limited understanding of the most current lit review and, hence, her ability to adjust plan of care (POC) accordingly. Equally alarming was her clear lack of "chart review" prior to entering the patient exam room. A physician should NEVER ask a patient nor their family members what procedures in the POC have/haven't been done and why. My father felt that he was just a "number" to her.

My husband was her patient. I had misgivings about her but my husband hated going to doctors and was unwilling to get a second opinion. After the first rounds of chemo, she cancelled tests (despite my protests) that could have shown the cancer was still growing. When chemo finally resumed, she failed to follow standard protocol (I discovered later) and my husband died on the way home from a chemo treatment. He might not have survived the cancer anyhow, but we'll never know for sure.

Dr. Tiriveedhi is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my situation on each and every visit. She shows compassion and seems genuinely interested. I have been extremely happy with her care and have recommended her many times now to friends who find themselves in cancer situations. She and her staff are all excellent.

Dr. Tiriveedhi is very professional but appears to be unfamiliar with my history every time I see her. She seems distracted and detached. I trust her but would prefer someone with whom I felt some kind of rapport and empathy. The staff is excellent and the office is well organized. I have had to wait up to 1/2 hour for my appointment but have also gotten in in less than 5 minutes.

My experience at St. John's Cancer Center has been excellent. All of the doctors, nurses and staff have been super nice, friendly and helpful through my whole ordeal. Dr. Tirivheedi is wonderful! She is a very intelligent and compassionate doctor who made my experience at the cancer center much more pleasant than it might could have been. I would highly recommend St. john's and Dr. T to everyone I know that may be unfortunate enough to suffer with cancer.

My experience at St Johns was great and my oncologist Dr Tiriveedhi was excellent. She was recommended by my Internist and sure enough she was very compassionate, caring and took time to answer all the questions. The staff were very kind and efficient. I would definitely recommend her as oncologist to all of us diagnosed with cancer.

A family member spent a few months under the "care" of this doctor. You cannot imagine a more disorganized mess. This doctor came highly recommended, but I have never met anyone with less compassion or interest in a patient. She was rude, always in a rush, had her facts/charts confused. We were always reiterating, etc. Our experience at St. John's Oncology was an overall disaster. I do NOT recommend ANY cancer patient to go there. Time is of the essence, and all they will do is waste it. Make the trip to Barnes or perhaps try Cox.
