List of Lucas Theodore Lenci's Reviews
Getting PRK corrective vision surgery done by Dr. Lenci was a fantastic decision! Dr. Lenci and his staff were so friendly, informative, and helpful. Dr. Lenci was so kind and helpful during the consultation and procedure day. He made me feel so at ease about the procedure that I had zero anxiety over the decision and process. His support continued throughout recovery, and you can truly tell that his is highly invested in the experience and results for his patients. With one quick procedure and a short recovery, I went from needing -5.00 prescription contact lenses to needing no contacts or glasses at all! Glasses or contacts have been part of my life since I was 7 years old. I have crystal clear, near perfect vision now in my 30s. This is the best money that I have ever spent on myself. I could not be any happier with my experience with Dr. Lenci; he is an absolutely outstanding physician.
When I was surprised to hear that I didn’t need glasses but that I needed cataract surgery, here is what gave me confidence in Dr. Lucas (Luke) Lenci. 1) Highly recommended. My well-respected optometrist recommended him, without hesitation, and set up the appointment. 2) Reviews. My son, whose wife experienced a poor surgeon with her LASIK surgery, said “READ the reviews”. Dr.Lenci has done 1000’s of procedures (see his bio) and has a 5-star rating with good reviews. 3) Locations. He does surgery in several locations, including Joplin, allowing the option of my surgery to be done “in-network” saving me significantly on my deductible. 4) Sacrificial. He, and his MEI staff, bent over backwards, adjusting his own schedule, to get my surgeries done quickly at the least expense so that I could get back overseas. 5) Others-minded. He chose his profession because he enjoys helping others see again, including missions trips...read his bio. 6) Personal. Ask him about his own personal goals an
Dr. Lenci and his team provided me an awesome patient experience for my cataract surgery. I could not be happier with the results! I highly recommend Dr. Lenci.
Dr. Lenci and his team are the most amazing compassionate people I have ever met. I was nervous about having surgery and they made every step very comfortable and put me at ease. They've answered every question and concern I've had. Having lasik is one of the best things I have done for myself. I now have 20/20 vision. I would do this again in a heart beat with Dr. Lenci and his team, no questions asked. Impeccable work!
Yes. Dr. Lensi and his staff were very nice to work with. I am new to the Springfield area. I was told by my doctor in Overland Park, KS I was a candidate for cataract surgery but I could wait if I wanted to. I decided to wait then we moved prior to the Covid pandemic and my eyes got worse so thought I should go have the surgery done. Dr. Lensi said I could still wait if I wanted to and is treating me for dry eye and will look at my eyes in 6 months. That impressed me that he isn’t rushing me into surgery (after all that’s how his specialty makes money). I know I’ll need surgery in a year maybe two. The visit was rushed, the technician that did the measurements and exam was very professional and the staff was extremely nice. I was extremely pleased with this doctor and his office.
I was very pleased with my visits with Dr.Lenci. He gave such a calm assurance of what would take place. Just my right eye was needing surgery at the time and it was an immediate success. However I have always been very nearsighted and the extreme difference was really a hardship on me. He was quick to pick up on that at my check up and set about to make sure I would be able to get my second eye taken care of that week. Amazingly he was able to get me worked in. Also successful. I had worn glasses since I was 6 years old and I'm so thankful that I took Dr Lenci's advice on what lense would be a good fit for me. I can truthfully say I would recommend Dr.Lenci....a man of expertise and compassion...to anyone
I want to thank Dr. Lenci and the staff at MEI for the excellent work they did for me. The professionalism and caring was more than I could have hoped for. I had cataracts removed from both of my eyes and replaced with the panabolic lenses and I can finally see again, daytime and nighttime. I have now tested with 20/20 vision for both reading and distance. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my eyesight.
I had cataract surgery, with additional lens put in. I was very impressed with Dr. Lenci. He was very nice and seemed very competent. I am seeing things I haven’t seen in years. My experience was good.
Two months ago,Dr. Lucas Lenci, of Missouri Eye Institute, removed the cataract and lens from my right eye. His Staff of Professionals, were kind, courteous and caring. I had my right.I felt so relaxed, as I put myself, in Gods Hands, and this Professional, experienced young Doctor. I felt almost nothing. When I was alert enough to ask about my eye, I was told it was over. my vision is 20/40. Recently I had my left eye cataract surgery. Like before, they were very kind. They were very careful, wearing masks, to protect me from any germs. l had another great experience. This time, my eye reading, is 20/20. i am so very thankful. I am now enjoying, the beauty of Spring, as I have not seen it, in many years. Thank you DR. Lunci, and all the fine Staff, at Missouri Eye Institute. I highly recommend, that anyone who needs cataract surgery, let these fine Professionals, open their eyes, more clearly to a bright new world.
I have had no contact with the doctor. The one star is for one of his staff. Do not expect to be able to call and make an appointment unless you have self-diagnosed youself. You must state what your condition is before they set an appointment. I thought that's the doctor's job. Also, don't expect them to prescribe eye glasses, they don't. There are plenty of other ophthalmologists in town, so who needs this kind of agravation?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
