Martin R. Alumno's Online Review Report Card

This very poor Dr. text me without pain management for 20 hours. I did receive Tylenol. I had surgery. I became sick in rehab. The Dr. did not respond when I said for three days that something was wrong with me. I had an infection at my surgery site had to go back into the hospital for a second surgery in the sans site. The pain is very much more intense than the surgery befor in the same site. Upon admission to rehab I was left without proscribed pain management for 11 hours. Then two days later I was left without proscribed meds for 20 hours. The Dr. is uncaring, unkind, and incompetent. Be aware of this Dr. he is not patient positive. I am trying to rehab but I know the lack of pain management is slowing my progress. I only put one star for all areas because this comment will not allow you to submit any comments without at least one star.

Dr Alumno has been my physician for over 10 years and I couldn’t ask for a better and more concerned physician.

Dr Alumno and staff are amazing. I have gone here for many years. He is always caring and strives to provide the best care he can. You never feel rushed or unheard in his office. The nurse is super friendly she listens and remembers her patients.

I would go to Dr Alumno anytime as my Primary Dr. He is a very good doctor to go to. His bedside manner is very good. I would recommend him to anyone!

He works 2 1/2 days a week. It is impossible to get an appointment with him and he has absolutely zero appointments after 3:30, doesn't work at all on Friday's. I am switching doctors. He is nice and pleasant, but he doesn't spend much time with you and you will not get your questions fully answered. Absolutely love his nurse, spent a lot of time with her, and will miss her.

I call him the 30 second doctor. Bedside manners are extremely poor. Very little eye contact and not compassionate whatsoever. I must say at age 44 I've never experienced such a thing especially with the price financially you pay to see him. His favorite words seem to be "it's just a part of aging " which is not any comfort at all.

When you can actually see him, he's nice and professional. I called today because I'm positive I have a upper resp. infection. He can't see me until 3/30, today is 3/8. Nurse practioner is not available for 3 more days. The office staff said they would send the nurse a note and have them get back to me. After waiting nearly 3 hours I called back. They said there was nothing they could do and eluded to the fact that they didn't even plan to call me back. They referred me to the Urgent Care on E. Kearney. Well, that one was closed (unknown reason, closed all month). Their website said that the regular office on E. Kearney was accepting their walk in patients. Contacted them, she acknowledged the other office was closed and offered me an appointment in a few days. I explained that the website said they would take walk-ins. They said nope. So, I'm off to find out if another Urgent Care is actually open. I have had Mercy since 2005. Not impressed overall. Care is not too bad when you actually see someone, but it is a pain in the butt to actually get an appointment. I wish I could switch, but am unable to do so because of insurance. If you have the choice, don't pick Mercy.

Dr. Alumno is an excellent doctor--up-to-date on recent research, good listener, careful not to over-medicate. Has an excellent staff as well. I trust his office completely.

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS.He does not like any patient participation in their care. He does what he wants, doesn't call when he should.If you are looking for a doctor to 'take over' here he is.
