List of MIchael John Workman's Reviews
Teams of doctors at Mayo clinic, Barnes, and Kansas University Hospital all agree that I have dissections in both of my vertebral arteries. Unfortunately my insurance didn't cover Mayo and I can no longer travel so I was forced to pursue local diagnostic and treatment options, as little help as they've been. So, Dr. Workman delivered on my expectations. The appointment was pointless. Being a sick, young female, I've had a nauseating amount of doctors who see straight through me. But he took it a step further by saying that he didn't even believe I had dissections. When I pointed out the fact that they had been confirmed by those mentioned above, he agitatedly says,"well, we can disagree... that's allowed." and goes on to explain(barely) that, even if it were true, there's nothing he would do to help me figure out why they happened or prevent worse from happening. He is just another example of a doctor who's time is gold and word is prophecy; celebrified to uselessness. If you have something entirely textbook and are willing to play the helpless, hopeless victim that needs a rescuer, he may be your guy. I'm just glad I didn't waste my tears and hope on this one...just a little bit of time, annoyingly.
First of all we waited 45 minutes. Once in the room, he didn’t seem to care about our time or any questions we had. Tried several times to walk out of the room while we were still talking. It’s unfortunate that he is one of the only doctors in the area that do spinal work. I’d highly suggest going somewhere else. Not impressed at all.
Great! He hit the injured nerve perfectly. There was no pain during the procedure. He was called out for an emergency, so I was delayed by an hour. But if I was the emergency I would definitely want him by my side. I was fine with the wait. Highly recommended.
Completely Professional Fine People! The Best Dr. In the World!!!
Dr. Workman is a great interventional radiologist. Performed three kyphoplasties (sp?) on my spine. I went from unbelievable pain to zero pain in short order. Gave me my life back. Dr. Workman’s greatest skill isn’t in patient/doctor interaction. Just remember, beneath this is a great, caring physician. You won’t be sorry he is your interventional radiologist. His nurse was Angie, also wonderful ...
9:30 appointment on 4-19-19. Doctor came in close to noon. I had already been seen in the ER on 4-2-19 and referred to Dr. Workman for a compression fracture. He ordered tests on for me on April 18th, Dexa scan and MRI. When I went for my appt. on April 19, 2019, not only did I wait 2.5 hours, he proceeded to tell me my OLD fracture was healed. Duh, I knew that, but the ER said I had a new fracture. HE DIDN'T ORDER THE MRI FOR THE AREA THAT WAS HURTING ME!! He wanted to "do a procedure" to
I went in for a procedure as directed by physician. Other than along wait at registration, I was very pleased with the staff and Dr. Workman once I was in the Jared Neurology area. Dr. Workman was patient and kind, even when I was nervous and somewhat emotional. I appreciated his and his staffs care.
I work with handicapped people daily, who still manage to complete their jobs. It’s be nice if my doctor (Michale Workman) could perform at their level!
Failure to see patient in ample time
Not good. Maybe a genius, but no personality. Couldn’t give a darn.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
