List of Nelson M. Dela Rosa's Reviews
He may give you 10 sec to tell him what's going on, if you are lucky. If you try to tell him the information he does not have, he will push back and make threats and make you question yourself. I chose to go to another doctor (after years of this) because I needed someone to let me talk more than 10 sec. The final straw was when I was having a clear inner ear infections with dizziness. Dela Rosa told me I was dehydrated and needed to drink more. When trying to tell him my symptoms he stopped me and questioned my intentions and threatened to send me to PT. After this appointment I worked to get another doctor. While waiting for that new doc appointment I had to go back in because my dizziness did not stop after 10 days. So I went in, and sure enough he looked in my ears and guess what, I had infections. He proceeded to reprimand me for choosing to going somewhere else and then told me he would no longer see me. Wish I would have move to another doctor sooner.
My daughter has ptsd and he sent her into a severe panic attack and she broke down in front of him and he said “I CAN’T HELP YOU” and walked out!! I would not send my worst enemy to him!!
Had a recent follow up visit related to a condition that had been diagnosed by him in the fall of 2021. He reviewed my newest lab work, explained the results and answered all my questions. We also planned for a follow up in 6 months. Very satisfied with the care I have gotten from him for the past 15 years.
Pleasant, attentive and has kept me healthy for many years.
I most recently saw Dr. Nelson Dela Rosa for an appointment in Nov. 2019. I have had Dr. Dela Rosa for my primary dr. for more than 18 years and am very satisfied with the medical care I have received from him. I have received excellent medical care from him in all appointments I have had with him during that time period. He always listens well to my concerns related to health issues, answered all questions I had, and has given me advice related to both corrective and proactive actions to take for my health (e.g., advice on calcium supplements, scheduling a flu shot, shingles shot, etc.). He has when needed taken the time to explain terms/tests/ etc. that I was unfamiliar with and also welcomed my comments and perspective within discussions about any health issues or needed test.
This is the worst doctor I have ever come across. I would have given him zero, but unfortunately; I had to at least get one star. Long story short, this doctor pretty much told my husband to shut up. Told me I should move back to Florida. Accused me of being a doctor helper. I told him several times I am a travel nurse. He wanted to know if my husband and I had the same last name. And began to tell us that there are many of the same genders that come into his office. At that point, I have no idea why he was telling us that. He never listened to my concerns. He was too busy listening to himself. I would definitely question the Authenticity of these reviews. There is no way he could have such high reviews. This doctor walked out the appointment. Needs to be fired

Dr. Dela Rosa was kind, thorough, and easy to talk about personal issues. His staff was polite, friendly, and quick to respond. He is both funny and very informative. I highly recommend him and am happy to have found such an excellent doctor.
I'm currently looking for a new Dr. I think Dr Dela Rosa is highly intelligent and he was able to tell me a couple of things about my chronic illnesses that other doctors did not. However, he talks a lot and it is hard to get him to listen. He has an accent and I have some trouble understanding him. The first time I saw him, he was really insulting and suggested that if I went back to work I wouldn't have insomnia any more. I haven't been able to work in several years because of chronic, physical health conditions. He also doesn't believe that a person can have a sensibility to gluten unless they've tested positive for Celiac disease, even though a lot of people have a sensativity to gluten without having Celiac's disease. The first time I met him, he said that I shouldn't have come to him because I'm young (36 yo) and appear healthy. He mostly sees elderly people, he said. I wss finally able to tell him that I have systemic lupus and other serious chronic health conditions. He then agreed that I was in the right place. Duh. The last time I was in his office, he stood in the hallway talking on his cell phone with his teen daughter for 15 minutes because he was having some sort of maintenance issue at his house. Irritating. He refused to fill out important paperwork for me and is not great about returning messages. He won't prescribe "brain" meds (ie anti-depressants, sleep meds, etc) and instead referred me to the psychiatry clinic. This means I have to pay another expensive copay and see another doctor. My PCPs have always prescribed my anti depressants so it's weird that he will not.
Very thorough. Explains things in a manner I can understand. Welcomes my thoughts. Never rushes me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
