I fell back in May 2013. I went to Houston, Missouri thinking I would get efficient and effective healthcare but ended up not getting any treatment at all even when I told them that I could not walk. Patricia Benoist was the medical doctor that was allocated to me. She didn't believe I couldn't walk and wanted me to walk without a walker but I was unable to stand and walk without a assisted devices such as a walker. After six weeks of Patricia Benoist trying to get me to do physical therapy with a broken vertebrae, I insisted to be sent to a specialist in Springfield, Missouri. When I was sent to Springfield, Missouri on July 8 2013, the specialist admitted me to the hospital because they said if I fell I would be paralyzed. As of right now, 2016, I am still unable to support myself without a walker. There may be other damages in the back that needs repaired or it may be permanent nerve damage resulting from Patricia Benoist's misdiagnosis. If you can't stand without a walker after an injury or fall, then see as many doctors/specialist as possible. Find a doctor/specialist that will look for the damage area that is preventing you from standing without a walker. I'm only talking about if you don't think your condition is normal. But see as many doctors/specialist as you can to get one that will help you. Patricia Benoist should have listened more to the patient instead of dismissing my or any patient's complaints.
