Robert D. Strang Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr Strang and entire staff are excellent! I have a herniated disc. I've had constant sometimes excruciating pain and difficulty doing some of my daily life tasks since the injury occurred. I have had some improvement since injury. He did not push surgery on me although I have tried PT, pills, heat/ice etc. I am very hesitant to do surgery. He said due to my timeline I could give it a couple more weeks to see if I'm improving. But if not I need the surgery. He came in and he answered and explained everything to me. I appreciate him and his office professionalism and expertise. His PA printed off my MRI and thoroughly went over it with me. His nurse, Ashley also came in and gave me some exercises from him to try. I had another question I had forgotten to ask him and she answered and was extremely kind and helpful as well. If I end up having to get the surgery I will update. I have complete trust in him and his office.

I have never met a Dr who used so many condescending comments to tell me that I am in extreme pain and deserve it so much in my entire life. He offered no help even as he man-splained that I have bulging discs in my back and chronic pain from my MS. He man-splained how he could help by removing the bulging disc and how that could alleviate some of the pain I’ve been living with for years, but then in 3 simple sentences also told me that he feels he doesn’t want to help. He’s very condescending. I have never cried so much after seeing a Dr as I did today. He’s a man who cares little about feelings or how much pain you’re in. I wish I had read the reviews & hadn’t gone into his office with any hope of receiving help. Definitely do not recommend this Dr or office.

Dr Strang cares less for his patients and their pain than I do about what he ate that day. He’s rude, refuses to help you (even when there’s MRIs and X-rays to show you do, in fact, need help), and will make you feel absolutely worthless as a human. Dr Strang cares nothing for you. You deserve the pain you’re in. Period.

Dr. Strang cares little for his patients, their pain or if he can help them. He is very condescending and rude. He will degrade you as a person and leave you in tears as he smiles. He is by far the rudest & most self-centered dr I have ever had the misfortune of meeting.

Dr Strang took time out from a very busy surgery day to come to my hospital room and discuss my health situation in detail. Informed me completely. After I was discharged his office called me and again discussed what would be happening with my health during the next few weeks. Dr Strang was so comforting and gave me details of what is happening to my body! I appreciate his honesty and comfort and consideration to me! Judi Miller

Botched a surgery removing a cyst from my Mother's spine. Left her with drop foot and wheelchair bound. Stay far away!

UPDATE (CONT.) I have learned recently that medical malpractice is defined not only by errors and ommissions performed during a physical procedure, but by a physician who elects not to perform duties associated with duly paid consultation(s) where said physician chooses not to follow through with his or her own diagnosis and perform necessary corrective surgery. Rather, this clown got offended with someone who respectfully questioned his poor process of decisions (see Primadonna definition in Webster's Dictionary) and dropped his patient from further medical action. Shame on Dr. Robert Strang and shame on his Diva persona and attitude. UPDATE: Dr. Strang sent me a "Patient Dismissal Letter" today. A doctor I never met (due to his practice of telemedicine) and gave me contradicting versions of what methods would resolve my severe pain? Yeah, that guy. I cannot wait to soon become a Mercy Health System customer//patient and will feel compelled to provide regular updates on Strang's very poor practice of medicine. Other online reviews point out similar disservice to his patients, so I'm obviously not alone. Very sorry to feel compelled to write this review, but I must. Dr. Strang and his P.A. read my MRI and x-rays and articulated very clearly to me that I have rather severe degenerative disc disease,osteophyte formation and obstruction of the exiting nerves in my lower cervical spine. All likely causing tremendous pain in my upper neck and shoulders. He recommended an over-the-door traction device. "Use it for 8 weeks and see how you feel." he said. "If you don't experience improvement, surgery will be the only option to get this corrected." The over-the-door traction helped, but did not alleviate, pain. So I return to Dr. Strang's office to arrange a surgical procedure. He flatly denied the option that he had previously stated was "the only option" and sent me off to see another doctor in his clinic. Nice business plan, huh? Shift patients from one office to another, generate more income for everyone! I get it. So after being denied the procedure I was told, in no uncertain terms, that I need......here I sit, in total pain and horrible discomfort. Thanks Dr. Strang! Thanks for everything!!

First visit, it was clear from the x-rays and MRI that I need surgery. Strang said it'd be the only option to resolve the matter but initially recommended an over-the-door traction device, which helped alleviate the pain. Second visit, I articulated to him that the paid is worse and even reaches into my shoulders on chest. He immediately assumed I have cardiac issues (which is ridiculous) because traction devices don't relieve heart ailments. When I complained of his diagnosis and poor patient service, he immediately dropped me as a patient. I never saw this guy -- both visits were via Zoom -- but I cannot recommend him lower than One Star. Shameful on many levels.

Was referred to this “physician” by my doctor and Strang refused to see me apparently believing my radiology reports contraindicated actually being seen. I’ve never met him and I cannot have a lower opinion of him as a provider.
