Not helpful at all.i was waiting an hour and a half to see him.it ran into the nurses and docs lunchtime and i didn't have the chance to ask any questions

Can’t say enough good things about him! He’s always got me healthy

I had first met Dr Adkins in the hospital. I had a infection of my spleen and it had spread the infection to my left lung. After Dr Steinburgs referral to scrape the infection off my lung, Dr Adkins ordered antibiotic therapy for 8 weeks and that has cured the infection of my spleen. He has been a great Dr. and cares about his patients

Had pneumonia. He was treating it but never could cleare they found the cure. When it came back again he decided instead of still trying to find a cure he through me out on the streets

During the course of my Mother's final months of life, she experienced a drastic unexplained weight loss of more than 20 lbs and became very frail. Despite years of tobacco use, I was told by staff working for this physician that she NEVER had a chest X-ray or other radiologic testing for cancer despite the recent weight loss (a principal cancer sign). My mother became very ill. To make matters worse, rather than explore reasonable options and explore her weight loss issues, my mother was prescribed powerful psychotropic drugs whose effect was not properly monitored which caused great suffering along with metastatic cancer that took her life unexpectedly.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who died this Summer from metastatic lung cancer. Despite 40+ years of tobacco use, according to staff, the office of Dr. Adkins NEVER performed a chest X-ray or other radiologic screening tests for lung cancer, even during the final months of her life, in the presence of a very significant weight loss (a cardinal cancer sign) whose origin went unaddressed. As if that was not bad enough, this physician prescribed a toxic psychotropic drug for dementia whose actions were not adequately monitored, causing my mother to become very ill. This particular drug was actually recognized as detrimental by independent home health care staff hired to assist in my mother's care and on their advice, the drug was stopped, subsequently my mother's behavior greatly improved enough to travel cross county. Inexplicably, the drug was started again due to a documentary mistake by the office of Dr. Adkins, resulting in a return of dreadful symptoms. If you have loved ones being treated by the office of Dr. Adkins, I would strongly suggest you do your homework and closely scrutinize the care given.

His assistant saw me and I had an appointment with him. Refused a needed exam requested by another Doctor. Had I not pushed for further help I may not be typing this today. He is a disgrace to the medical profession and his assistant Josh I believe is his name. He should not be allowed to see patients. He needs to be reported.

Dr. Adkins is a genuinely friendly person. He is quite able to handle most problems that comes his way but is not threatened by a second opinion. He does not automatically send you to a specialist, but will suggest it if he feels it is the best course of action. His takes care to allow enough time for his appointments. He is a true family doctor he knows and cares how an illiness will affect the whole family. I have moved quite a bit and had several doctors, Dr. Adkins gets my highest rating. He has a real knowledge of medicine and how illiness affects the whole person and their family, not just what pill will take care of a problem. I have been a patient of his since 2005.
