List of Salim Rahman's Reviews
Caring, competent, vast experience & knowledge, proven success record, and straight forward with diagnosis and solution. This man saved me from a wheelchair so many times. I had a progrssive spine issue and he has staved off the inevitable for 25 years now. Love him!
Very nice and good Dr
Don’t think I could say anything bad about this doc! He is nice, does an awesome job with surgery, and his staff is the best I’ve ever dealt with!! If your having a bad back problem I would highly recommended him! They do everything from shots in the back to major surgery. Unfortunately I had to go with the major surgery. I’m 8 months out, and it’s better than it was before and seems to be getting better. Can only hope, but if I ever have to have another one this would be my choice. Springfield area is lucky to have a surgeon of this quality !!
Lots of tests and visits a month later, never results, only more requested tests. I gave up on Dr. Rahman. Tests don't fix anything except his pocket book. Very frustrating with a highly recommended doctor.
Great Dr. Success on my back!
Dr. Rahman has done two surgeries on me. He did my herniated neck at C3/C4 and used titanium rod, plates and screws, in 2001. He also repaired lower back herniation, in 2015. Both surgeries a complete success! I am currently in need of another surgery, so back to Dr. Rahman I go! He is exceptionally thorough and he won’t do surgery if he doesn’t believe it will help you. His thoroughness has included Myelogram and alternative means of isolating the pain, ie, facet injections, rhizotomy (nerve ablation). I’m glad this doctor doesn’t rush right into cutting. The way I originally discovered Dr. Rahman was I asked all of my different doctors, “if you needed this surgery, who would you want to do it?” The answer, more than once, was Salim Rahman. If he’s good enough and trusted enough for my doctors to say they’d want him to do their surgery, then he’s more than good enough for me. Thank you Dr Rahman for being the open, honest, and caring doctor that you are.
I saw Dr. Rahman many years ago. He did my 1st surg. I would recommend him way before ANYONE ELSE
Excellent care, surgery went great!
My wife has been with him for about 18 years and 2 difficult surgeries including caging her spine. After healing, she never had another problem. Her life was normal. I was evacuated in on two separate occasions. Broken neck at c2. Given A 1% chance to survive. Stopped breathing twice, put on life support. Obviously, to everyone's amazement, I survived. Not only that, I am thriving today. I owe that to the superior care I got from NTICU under Dr. Rahman's direction. I owe him my life. A big thanks to Linda also. What a Princess. His team is just extraordinary. So recently I am once again air evacuated to NTICU with bleeding on the brain. Again in the hands of Dr. Rahman. Thank God! I was returned to my original condition and released from him on 7/16/19 to return to a normal life. I cannot say enough good about him and his wonderful staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I turned 76 on 7/25/19.
Excellent physician. Some times a bit hard to understand if you have hearing problems. Will not operated if he does not think it will help you. I have had friends that neurosurgeons when they were not sure of the problem and left them in extreme pain. Both my husband and my self have had spinal surgery by Dr. Rahman and have had excellent results.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
