Very little empathy, very poor bedside manner. Treated my baby and I like a medical case rather than human beings. My baby ended up being stillborn, even though I had called begging to come in and have her checked when I had reduced movement, I was told I’m a first time mom and didn’t know her movements. When he came into the room after we found she had passed his words were ‘I did not see this coming, but yeah you lost the baby, that’s sad.’ No ‘I’m sorry for your loss’ a single time. His words and reaction to me have haunted me and made an unimaginably painful experience, worse. Thank the Heaven’s he did not deliver my baby and that there were kind nurses in the delivery room. There are many more comments I will not mention on a public forum but I refused to go back and see him for my 6 week PP appointment because I was treated so poorly and unkindly. I moved offices and doctors instead. I would not recommend him to any woman. He has a lot to learn, especially about empathy and kindness.

From my first appointment he made me uncomfortable with his awkwardness. Beyond that, I had a fairly easy pregnancy, until I had reduced movement. I called and asked to be seen only to be told that I was a first time mom and didn’t know my baby’s movements yet and they will see me at my scheduled appointment. I went to a private ultrasound and learned my baby had passed. His first words were ‘I did not see this coming’, not ‘I’m so sorry for your loss.’ It was followed only by ‘but yeah, you lost the baby, that’s sad.’ His words have haunted me. He never once said he was sorry for my loss. He had very little empathy and very poor bedside manner. He treated me and my baby like a medical case, not like humans. Thank the Heavens he’s not the doctor who delivered my stillborn baby as I would have requested one with much more empathy and care. I refused to go back to him or his office for my 6 week PP. He has a lot to learn, especially about empathy and kindness. I’ve since moved OB’s.

He is amazing, extremely kind and understanding of my needs, also very informative.

Dr. Ballmann is amazing he just recently delivered my baby on January 26th 2021. He explains everything so well and listens to everything and made me feel reassured my whole pregnancy. Definitely will keep him as my dr and want him delivering my next one! His staff is also amazing in the clinic and L&D. I went in nervous and scared of delivery and his staff made me feel comfortable and that everything was going to be okay. I will be recommending Dr. Ballmann to everyone!

While the front desk staff is kind, Ballman constantly drops the ball on serious heath issues, packing the buck to someone else so he is not to be bothered. You cannot change doctors in this practice once you’ve chosen him, so don’t waste your time.

Dr. Ballman is the best. He delivered my first child via c-section and I will have him deliver the next! He is very thoughtful and caring. Always made me comfortable and no question was ever a dumb question. He always listened and never rushed you. I went into my c-section not feeling nervous at all because of him! Definitely recommend.

I move around a lot and I've had 4 pregnancies. I've seen A LOT of OBs. Dr. Ballman is hands down the best I've ever dealt with. He's straight foward, informative, personable, and I don't feel rushed when I see him. He takes the time to answer any and all questions and doesn't make me feel silly when I feel that I'm asking a dumb questions. Will always recommend him.
