Stephanie Elizabeth Pendergrass's Online Review Report Card

I had put Stephanie Pendergrass on a pedestal because she had found my thyroid nodule with little information and while it was relatively small. I felt indebted to her in a way and thought she was a great doctor. Unfortunately, like most doctors, once I opened up to her about my history and struggling with my mental health she developed a bias and therefore apparently has deemed me untreatable by her. I tried to understand her point of view but the last straw for me was when I went to her to manage a medication that she herself had put me on and she said there was nothing she could do because I have bipolar disorder. I left the appointment. I am not sure what happened to her, maybe she had a bad experience with another patient. I have no idea. But I am so sick of being treated this way by doctors because they don’t know how to avoid developing biases on people with mental health. I will never step foot in her office again.

I see a few negative reviews on here and I am just really trying to figure out how. I went to her for the first time and she is the first doctor that has tried to take a medical condition I have seriously. She LISTENED to my concerns and took into consideration into what I do and don't want to do about it. I have been trying to talk to doctors for years about this situation and nobody would run the tests or take the time. This is the very first appointment I had with her I now have a CT scan scheduled later this month because she was in shock that nobody had done anything about this sooner when it had been brought up. I had a mercy neurologist prescribe me a medicine that I was not comfortable taking and she told me if I don't want to try that medicine then she was not going to do anything else for me and to not come back. There are bad doctors out there and I can assure you that this lady is NOT one of them. Thank you Dr. Pendergrass for caring about me and my health and also for listening instead of just telling me what you are going to do and how it is going to be. There needs to be more like you, ma'am.

Stephanie is a very good doctor she placed me on medication that I have for chronic illness. Stephanie is it professional very inquisitive and took the time to customize my care I would recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Pendergrass, was the family physician I was looking for! She spent almost a hour with me, listening to over a page of questions I had. This is almost unheard of! I am truly blessed to have been referred to Dr. Pendergrass, and look forward to a physician who takes the time, to understand their patients concerns.

It is extremely unfortunate I cannot even get through to speak with someone to schedule an appointment. A staff member placed me on hold for 30 minutes which is excessive. I was disconnected after 30 minutes of holding. I called back was placed on hold again, so I just gave up. There is no shortage of individuals looking for employment right now. I doubt Cox Health would have an issue finding an individual to answer phones and schedule appointments if this is where the problem is.

She doesn't care about how her nurses treat her patients. I issued a complaint because when I called about refill he told me to stop talking and when I didn't he hung up on me. I received a letter 2 days later saying I was no longer a patient find another doctor!! She doesn't deserve 1 star

I have been going to Dr. Pendergrass for about seven years. This last appointment was a disaster her attitude was out the door. Did not want to spend any time said she was in a hurry and needed to get this over with. I would not recommend this doctor to treat anything anymore for anyone.

Dr. Pendergrass has always been nothing but kind to me. She listens, takes care of what needs to be done, and doesn’t make you feel rushed. I’ve never had a better doctor.
