List of Suzanne M Hanson's Reviews
If I could give zero stars I would. I have been going to Northwest Pediatrics for 3+ years. Unfortunately, twice I have had to encounter Dr. Hanson. My kids on both accounts were uncomfortable. She is condescending, rude, and the most rushed doctor I have ever encountered. While the staff and other Dr.'s have always been fantastic, the last visit finally pushed me over the edge and I will not be bringing my kids back to Northwest Pediatrics.
We are switching pediatric offices after a lengthy and frustrating 10+ years with Dr Hanson. Not only is she condescending but often times extremely rushed. Specific health issues are not always addressed properly and/or professionally. Her staff is also extremely rude and patronizing.
Our family has been seeing Dr Hanson for 10 years and we love her. She has been very helpful at recommending us books for helping us through varying issues. She will also send us to a specialist when she sees fit. Very knowledgeable and great with our children.
I have gone to her for 15 years! She will hear you as a parent with any concerns. I have 7 children and we are leaving this practice. The office staff is extremely rude! That sealed the deal for me, I will not continue to take my children somewhere and be treated that way. The doctors will not address it, they told me that they "need" their staff. Apparently patients are replaceable and the office staff is not.
Very helpful and friendly. Really cares about her patients!
She is very personable, knowledgeable, and cares about my kids' wellness. Glad she is my children's primary doctor.
Dr. Hanson was rude and uncaring towards my child, whom she made sick by prescribing medication that she had an allergic reaction to. When we tried to get my child back in to see her the following day, Dr. Hanson said she did not have any openings, and to take her to the E.R. Excuse me? You made my kids sicker than when I brought her in, and now my problem will cost me a $500 copay at the E.R. Thanks for nothing. My daughter spent a week in the hospital and no one from Dr. Hanson's office followed up or visited. To add insult to injury, when I requested to transfer my child's medical records the staff was extremely rude and charged my $45 to make copies of her records. Do not take your child to this doctor. She is just going through the motions, and seems to care more about getting paid than healing children. This has got to be the worst experience I have had with a doctor in all my years.
Dr. Hanson is a wonderful pediatrician. I do not like some of the other doctors in the practice with her, but she is always kind, knowledgable, listens very well, and patient with my many questions. She is great with both of my kids and make them feel at ease. She talks to my kids and explains what she is going to do AND she talks to me and tells me why she is checking different things and what the results are. A year ago, I moved over an hour away but still drive out to St. Peters just to see Dr. Hanson. When my son broke his arm, she sent us for x-rays and then called us with the results so we didn't have to wait around in St. Peters for another appointment. I recommend her to all my friends
Dr. Hanson was always very nice. I did always feel hurried by her though. I stopped going there when their office staff informed me, as i was trying to make an appointment for my extremely sick daughter I had been up with all night, that I owed them money?!? "I have insurance that covers everything", I told them. "There must be a mistake?!?" Well there was. And I had to figure it all out before they would see my daughter. They did not save my new address in their system so my notices were not coming to me. I was chosen for a random verification with my insurance. It was 1 quick question they wanted to ask me and then they paid the claim. I asked them why they didn't call me? I'd been going there for 3 years and never had billing problems. They said that it was against their policy to call people? So instaed they wait until your child is screaming in pain and needs medical attention to cover your billing issue's with you. Very unprofessional and terrible bedside ettequite!
Dr. Hansen and the other Dr.'s there were all nice. I was spoken down to by her arrogant nurses when inquiring about simple nursing questions. I felt like i was bothering them at times to call in. The office staff always seemed to be more interested in their conversations than in dealing with you as you came in or left. Plus, they do not call people if there is any billing issue's. They wait until you call back in to get medical care for your child, and refuse service until you pay or straighten out the billing dispute with your insurance company. My daughter had a busted ear drum from an infected ear. Hardly something to hold off on medical care for a billing misunderstanding. And it was a misunderstanding. I was chosen for a random dependant verification through my insurance company. Their $300 claim was processed in minutes. I would not recomend this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
